The key objective of this project is to make our inventory accessible to clients, enabling them to search for products and request quotations. This streamlined process will significantly reduce the time it takes to complete quotations, which usually spans several weeks, ultimately leading to increased business revenue.
The application being developed offers customers the capability to search for products using part numbers and request price quotations. These products can be categorized as either genuine or after-market. Customers have the flexibility to submit quotes individually or in bulk by uploading product lists from Excel sheets.
The pricing for products is determined by the customer's tier, and different price level discounts are applied based on the configuration for each tier. When customers submit quotes, the system notifies the admin and sub-users via email. These submitted quotes are also visible in a quotes list page.
Customers can choose to save unfinished quotes as drafts in the quote history page, which can be later edited and submitted. The admin has complete control over the application's backend and is responsible for managing various aspects, including product management, sub-user accounts, customer accounts, quotes, approval processes, and customer/discount tier configurations.
