For what projects/services did your company hire Your Server Doctor?
We were developing a live video streaming app for of our prestigious clients. While doing so we need an expert who can give us a complete solution of cloud server as this is the major part of this app success.
What were your goals for this project?
1. Minimum latency in live video streaming 2. Optimum server usage so that we will not have to pay huge server cost 3. Managed live streaming server
How did you select this vendor?
We were looking for a company that could help us in streamline the server and keep it always optimised. Since we were live video streaming app, we were expecting more than 50,000 users to come into our app at the same time. And, we search on Google and found YSD on the top the results.
After having couple of discussions we thought let's go with them. We told them that we need server solution to be auto-scalable. Finally, we freeze the solution and they started working on the live project.
Describe the project in detail.
This project is a marketplace mobile app that also facilitates sellers to go live with their products demonstration. Buyers can chat on live video to ask seller to show the products from different dimensions etc.

What was the team composition?
They assigned around 2 to 3 resources, including server managers, QA experts. I’ve been in contact with everyone involved at different points, depending on the requirements.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
YSD's services meet expectations and do a very good job of keeping the server managed and up at maximum level. App is having only 1 or max 2 sec latency rate which is satisfactory. We are currently woking to make this app more user friendly & YSD is in touch for any assistance we might need.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was really great to work with YSD. YSD team is always on foot to help irrespective what time or day it is. No matter its weekday or weekend, YSD team was always in communication and helped our team in a most prominent way. We use Skype, Zoom, Jira and Basecamp to coordinate.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their commitment ! I can bet on them for doing all task before deadlines. They evaluate every task in detail and give very accurate timelines to done a task. Also, we like how they interact with our entire team. This helped us in developing a nice solution for our client and a good partnership and mutual understanding with them.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not any such but I think they should work on team expansion.

We wanted a partner we could rely on to assist with ongoing server and after hour maintenance for some of our clients.

We put in play a plan to ensure all of our managed devices were properly security patched and persistently available with the highest level of performance.

We vetted about 5 companies and tested them with various tasks. They proved themselves highly effective and capable.

I provided the overall architecture for how we needed the systems maintained. Avid Practice provided the access and other monitoring and management tools they use as they follow our protocol. On various projects they will use their own resources to remediate acute issues.

We are based in the US and they work with our team. We've been through staff changes and they continue with a high level of success.

We make adjustments when necessary to our workflow, but overall a very good fit and they do a great job helping us deliver a superior service.

Since we have integrated them into our tools and workflows, it is very seamless. They are always available when we need them and make time to make our company meetings. They are a true part of our team.

Life is about growing, and all of us learn new lessons and deliver our craft better. They are always learning and studying and are receptive to our challenges. Since we have an ongoing relationship, this isn't really applicable.
Your Server Doctor minimized the streaming latency to only a one-second delay and has exceeded the client's expectations in optimizing server performance. The team used basecamp and Jira to ensure successful project management. The client will continue to rely on them for additional assistance.
