What challenge were you trying to address with Your Digital Assistant?

I had a business idea for a database website. I can do the design and the development side of things, but I needed someone to do the content for the website and produce content on an ongoing basis.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Your Digital Assistant did copywriting for me. I had a call with Becky (Owner) where we talked about the voice of the site and what I wanted it to sound like. We went through the wireframes, the website, and all the pages that were going to be involved. That included membership pages, pricing, about pages, and how it works. 

Currently, I’ll give Becky a topic of what to write about and maybe some keywords that I want to have included. She then produces four blogs of about 750 words.

I worked with Becky.

How did you come to work with Your Digital Assistant?

Becky was a connection of mine on LinkedIn. I knew she did copywriting and I really liked her work, so I got in touch.

How much have you invested in them?

So far, I have spent £1,900 (approximately $2,476 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in June 2020, and I’m still working with her.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I have a brand new website that went live in August. I haven’t been expecting to get a lot of traffic on the website yet, but we have had really good engagement on the blog posts so far.

How did Your Digital Assistant perform from a project management standpoint?

For the blog articles, Becky has pretty much nailed the tone of voice and it is so much better than what I could have done myself. I rarely have any changes for her, and I’m really pleased with the work. At the start, she sent over a proposal and I signed off on the contract. It was really clear from the beginning when it was my job to supply her with content, when she would get back to me with the first draft, and how many rounds would then be available. She has always come in on time if not a few days earlier. She has always promptly invoiced and I pay the same day and it has all worked out so far.

We did have a couple of Zoom calls at the start but now we typically just email.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Becky is very personable in the way that she interacts on LinkedIn, through email, and over calls. She is good at what she does. She is very professional, but she is also really easy to talk to. What I liked about her on LinkedIn is that she isn’t very salesy. She talks about life and things that you can relate to. The way that she writes her copy really appealed to me. It is conversational and appeals to what I wanted to create for my business and the kind of people who would read my content.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I think for my purposes, she has done everything that I wanted and needed her to do. I know she does offer other services like social media management that I haven’t used because I have not needed to use those services, but I would say in terms of copywriting, she has been really good for me.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Copywriting isn’t really my thing, and I would recommend Becky to my clients for copywriting as well.

Have a clear idea of what you want out of your copy. Be responsive because she is very communicative – I feel it is polite to get back to her in the same urgency that she gets back to me.
