I’m a manager at Watertaxi Rotterdam B.V., which is part of Spring Holding B.V. Our water taxis transport riders to docks between Rotterdam and Schiedam in the Netherlands.

For what projects/services did your company hire YipYip?

We hired them to update our website, including the possibility to make online reservations on the same website.

What were your goals for this project?

To provide information to our users in both Dutch and English. By using an online booking API, we wanted to reduce the number of reservations made by phone.

We were already working together on other projects.

The website was designed from scratch, using a few elements from our previous site. They then built it for us, developing an API to interact with our backend.

What was the team composition?

The team comprised a project manager, a website designer, and a website developer. There was also a person from DevOps when needed.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Since the launch of the new website, we have an ever-increasing amount of reservations made online. That decreases the pressure on the employees operating the phone.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was thorough, clear, and pleasant, as we always experience with YipYip.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have all the necessary expertise to make a project work, from start to finish. They were also able to think about the project with us along the way.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There are very few areas that need improvement.

YipYip has two project managers who answer questions and assign deliverables to their specialists. The managers continuously update internal stakeholders on team decisions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their work is supported by exceptional expertise. They’ve consistently delivered results in a timely matter.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could be more transparent about skills they have less experience in. This would allow us to adjust our expectations accordingly.

Our goal was to go from a manual, hand-written system to a digital administrative solution for all of our trips and guided tours.

The IT developer who originally built our database system referred us to YipYip.

YipYip developed a POS system for iOS from scratch, including the IT architecture as well as the graphic design.

The team consisted of an iOS developer and a graphic designer, both led by a project manager.

This project saved a significant amount of administration time while also yielding important ride data.
