I work directly with our customer success manager and the creative and ASO teams to make sure we are spending effectively and seeing the results. Our apps consistently rank high and receive great reviews from the users. We are always trying to make sure that the user experience is the best it can be and the ratings from our users and in app activity are how we measure success. edX & yellowHEAD Get an A+ in Localization & A/B
The Challenge
After focusing on localization for a large variety of markets with frequent keyword optimization over the past year, edX and yellowHEAD shifted gears to increasing conversion through app page graphics for the main English markets.
Our Approach
yellowHEAD put a focus on edX’s Feature Graphic in Google Play. The team tested brand colors against the white (and somewhat pale) Feature Graphic, and it won with flying colors!
From there, the team wanted to add warmth and personalization to the screenshots that, at the time, had a solid background color.
yellowHEAD’s Creative team added a gradient to the background and showcased images of people holding their phones. With winning results in the main markets, edX applied this design worldwide with local texts.
By maximizing the available space, the team created graphics that also showed people’s faces, using an industry best practice known as “The Happy People Role. The test results confirmed the theory, with increased conversion rates.
yellowHEAD’s ASO team was also curious to see how graphics that included different genders and ethnicities would perform across a variety of localized audiences. The test results varied a lot between the different countries, proving that not only do you need to localize texts in descriptions, but the visual content in graphics as well.
We optimized the English-India app page and focused on the relevant education institutes in the text and graphics, as well as created locally-oriented graphics.
Localizing the metadata and graphics through these tests resulted in a more country-specific experience on the Play Store’s app page, thus increasing the CVR.

QuickBooks Counts on yellowHEAD’s ASO
QuickBooks sought to improve the overall success of their app’s store listing in the app stores. They turned to yellowHEAD to boost their search visibility and conversion using keyword targeting strategies, A/B testing plans, and enticing marketing messaging.

An iconic baby care brand achieved low-cost app installs with young Japanese parents when it ran a carefully targeted Facebook and Instagram ad campaign.
The Start-up Pampers team, which handles digital products for the Pampers Club brand, wanted to encourage parents in Japan to register as Pampers Club members by downloading the app. Pampers partnered with global performance marketing agency yellowHEAD to plan and run a targeted campaign across Facebook and Instagram.

Superdraft Scores With New SEO Strategy
yellowHEAD’s SEO team focused on SuperDraft’s two main assets: its main gaming platform, superdraft.io, and its subdomain, strategy.superdraft.io, a blog about sports and strategic advice for their players about creating lineups.
The changes yellowHEAD implemented led to positive results already in the first months of working together. With a strong SEO foundation in place, when the next football season came around, the natural trends only magnified the positive results even further, on both Superdraft.io and Strategy.superdraft.io sites.
On Superdraft.io, these were the results of yellowHEAD’s new strategy over the span of six months:

CyberGhost turned to yellowHEAD User Acquisition and ASO teams so they could scale their Apple Search Ads campaigns while keeping the cost per acquisition low.
When yellowHEAD first started its work for CyberGhost, the monthly spend was about average. This is fine in general, but since they were looking to scale, they needed a way to do it in the most efficient way, especially in terms of Cost Per Acquisition.
yellowHEAD helped CyberGhost succeed on Apple Search Ads by optimizing existing campaigns and preparing new ones in advance. The approach had to be highly organized and focused to get results.
The team focused on organizing the campaign’s structure and reducing the account CPA and in-depth keyword optimization and research.

The Challenge
Bagelcode approached yellowHEAD with the desire to receive 5 new videos on a monthly basis in order to constantly update their campaigns. They were looking for fresh, new creatives that both brought out the app’s features and room themes, and highlighted unique selling points.
Our Approach
Bagelcode shared their knowledge of their game and what their audience likes best. yellowHEAD’s creative team – yellowSTUDIO – cracked open some books and began doing some research (disclaimer: no actual books were involved during this process).
The team conducted thorough research in order to understand the latest trends of the industry as well as the app itself. This information really helped them narrow down the focus of the creatives.
Based on the combined intel of audience interests mixed with the industry’s latest trends, yellowSTUDIO was able to create a series of high-quality, original ideas. Over the course of 3 months, they produced 15 creatives and achieved great results.
The creative studio explored different concepts that utilized the aforementioned trends and produced creatives that highlighted different features of the game. Celcius Spruces Up the Cryptowallet Store Listing
The Challenge
Together, the two companies aimed to achieve more installs with higher-quality users, while maintaining good retention.
Our Approach
yellowHEAD’s ASO experts put together a series of A/B tests in order to maximize conversion and bring in users that will continue to use the app after installing it. They began running tests on screenshots and the short description, producing variations one after another.
Within several weeks of testing, yellowHEAD & Celsius achieved several back-to-back winning tests.
Test 1
The team removed the CTA in the first screenshot to place an emphasis on the Celsius brand and changed the messaging in the second screenshot. As the first two screenshots are the ones the user will see at the impression stage of the user journey, they are an important place to add the strongest USPs.
Test 2
The second test focused on different USPs. The control, “Unbank yourself”, was challenged by two more variants: “Most trusted crypto wallet” and “No fees. No lockups.”
While both of these variants outperformed the control, “Most trusted crypto wallet” had stronger results.
Test 3
The team also tested their Short Description, “Are you a HODLer interested in a crypto loan and a crypto wallet? Install now!” against two new Short Descriptions. One was more CTA-oriented, “HODLer? Hold, borrow and BUY crypto at the BEST rates with the top crypto wallet”, while the other demonstrated the app’s capabilities, “HODLer? Use Celsius crypto wallet to hold, borrow & buy crypto at the best rates.”. Out of the three, the latter was the clear winner.

SciPlay, one of the the foremost social casion brands in the world, teamed up with yellowHEAD performance marketing to help introduce their games to a new audience on TikTok.
yellowHEAD implemented strategies that proved to be a sucess. During their campaign period, the ROI for iOS was 19.5% higher on TikTok than on any other platform. On Android devices, it matched the ROI KPI for other platforms.
Furthermore, both CPM and CPA saw welcomed decreases compared with other platforms. CPM was 6x lower on iOS and 4x lower on Android. Meanwhile, FTD CPA went down 18.5% for iOS users.

Meta Commerce School Gets Lessons In Creatives
The Meta Commerce School i a select group of 19 promising eCommerce startups that were given unique guidance on how to run successful campaigns on Facebook. yellowHEAD provided the participating businesses with creative tools and custom video creatives that took them to the next stage.
yellowHEAD provided guidance to the participating startups on advertising, while yellowHEAD’s in-house creative studio, yellowSTUDIO, created custom videos for each participating brand to use in their campaigns.

Ginger came to yellowHEAD having already achieved highly impressive SEO success, but looking for a partner to help them put together and execute a strategy to take their SEO to the next level.
Ginger operates in an enormous search vertical with millions of monthly searches and, from the outset, we set aggressive goals, including doubling traffic from only organic traffic, while maintaining or improving conversion rates from that traffic.
Work with Ginger began with an unpleasant surprise. Within two weeks of taking the on project, GingerSoftware.com received a manual penalty from Google due to a negative SEO ‘attack.’ We worked with the entire Ginger team to remove the penalty and recovered the site in record time. Recovering from the penalty, yellowHEAD began working with Ginger on aggressive content campaigns and sections to attract relevant traffic. High 5 Casino was looking to achieve a higher ROI D7 and increase their quality of users.
Our Approach
Over the course of several months, High 5 Casino was gaining momentum and seeing positive performance across all creatives. However, yellowHEAD’s UA team noticed that the popular DaVinci game room was not one of them.
After brainstorming ideas, the team decided to turn to Alison, yellowHEAD’s creative analysis technology, to see how they can take this fatigued creative and breathe some life back into it.

They gave us an outline of what raw video to take in each apartment so that we could give them the footage they needed to create a video walkthrough. They also recommended us creating some UGC to incorporate and to use in ads to promote these apartments. Once we sent it to them, their team edited and launched PPC and UA campaigns in a very localized and hyper targeted campaign to help us get more potential interest in the apartments.

Once we were onboarded, we went through the process of identifying who and what we needed. KOLs are very different than influencers so it was refreshing to see that they were also on top of this. After providing us some ideas and us agreeing on who to go with, we were able to get some great content and have the yellowhead team get it in front on the right people. Through their marketing efforts we were able to optimize and identify the winning content and really hone in on our messaging to keep promoting our services to the right people.

The focus that we were looking for in an agency was creatives. We needed better creatives for our ads and apps and better videos overall so we needed an agency that can deliver on these.

After talking to multiple agencies, we narrowed it down to a few. What set yellowhead apart was their focus on technology in the creative process. Their technology, Alison, really set them apart and that helped us choose them.

We began working with yellowHEAD on the basic creatives needed for our UA campaigns. We also started working with them on social media marketing and the creatives and UGC (user-generated content) for the social media campaigns as part of the larger strategy. Using their technology, we were able to accelerate the process by identifying which creatives would and wouldn’t work before we even launched them and were able to fine-tune our campaigns for maximum effectiveness.
Having an agency with the know-how and expertise to handle all of the creative needs, both static and video, really made a huge difference and we were able to gradually scale up the volume and different creative options through this ongoing engagement.

For what projects/services did your company hire yellowHEAD?
As we grew our UGC and influencer marketing offerings, some of our larger clients wanted us to help them promote and amplify their content. We partnered with YellowHead to set up a digital strategy for each platform to best amplify the reach of our campaigns and make sure that the client campaigns performed amazingly well, especially the campaigns with rev share.

We had worked with them on our mobile app and were very happy with their work. Going to them for this project

After reaching out to YellowHead, we had a call with their UA and Paid Search teams to understand what we needed. As we defined the campaign and the objectives, they built out strategies for us for all campaign types and for all the platforms we operate on. They basically created a digital marketing playbook. They then ran the campaigns for the first few just to start building some traction and showing us the ins and outs, which showed amazing results for our clients.

There were always 3-4 people from the growth team and the UA team working with us to help enhance and grow the campaigns from just UGC and influencer campaigns into performance marketing campaigns.
