Content Marketing for Software Development Company
"They learn from everything we say and come up with better and better series of posts."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the associate creative director for Evernote. We produce software for desktops and mobile computers.
What challenge were you trying to address with WriteForMe?
Our blog has been one of our main avenues for engaging with our customers, but maintaining a regular cadence of posting was a challenge for us. WriteForMe came in and helped us scale our blog to increase customer engagement.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’re a note-taking app, and every year we do a big push around back-to-school time to help students and teachers take better notes. WriteForMe is developing a series of blog posts around that topic, looking at it from different angles and giving us the opportunity to reach new audiences with each post.
They provided us with a point of contact, and we brainstormed a number of different angles that we felt met our business needs and that they thought they could provide content around. After going away to research the topic, they come back with an outline for me to review and edit. A full draft follow, which I provide feedback on until we are ready.
What is the team composition?
I had one point of contact that handled everything, all the writing and research behind the scenes. This made it easy, as we didn’t have to negotiate with different writers and editors. Diane (Head of Operations) was their name.
How did you come to work with WriteForMe?
I was assigned to this existing relationship, so I’m not sure how they were initially found, but we were attracted to the ease of scaling our content with them. Content creation is a large undertaking to do regularly, as it requires staffing that removes people from other projects, so I enjoy having a turnkey solution.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since June 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In terms of scale, we went from producing one blog post per month to 10 posts without sacrificing readership. This gives us many more opportunities to engage with our customers.
How did WriteForMe perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been a great partner to us. They’ve managed the process seamlessly and given us full visibility into the stage of the process that the posts are in. We always have access to outlines and drafts.
We communicate regularly over email and have a weekly meeting where we review the status of all posts in production. There’s also a monthly call to plan upcoming posts and discuss any posts or events that we want to cover. They’ve been great about bringing ideas to us that they think are under-explored.
What did you find most impressive about them?
As a writer and editor, I greatly appreciate their openness to feedback. They’re never too set in their ways. They learn from everything we say and come up with better and better series of posts.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It took a few posts for them to really nail our voice, as we have a distinct style that isn’t easy for guest writers to grasp. They did a great job of coming up to speed, however. In the end, I would say that they could have read through more of our content.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Bring your own ideas to the table, as this is a partnership that’s capable of creating great things. Make sure you have a clear sense of what your brand should sound like. If you can supply resources to help WriteForMe to dial into that tone, then you’ll receive higher quality content sooner.

Content Marketing for Liquid Immersion Cooling Manufacturer
"The quality of writing is very high."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
GRC designs, manufactures, installs, and maintains liquid immersion cooling solutions for the data center industry. I am the Vice President of Marketing, leading a small team.
For what projects/services did your company hire WriteForMe?
In order to better educate the marketplace on the benefits opf liquid immersion cooling I wanted to increase the flow of lighter weight content being authored for our blog.
Rather than focusing on highly technical content (which is typically consume by IR designers, management and staff), the goal here would be to drive awareness of the business benefits/values of our solutions that would be more of interest to the C0-suite or senior management who set policy rather than choose products and solutions.
We would then promote this content to targeted audiences in LinkedIn and other social media to increase awareness, build our following, etc.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I had worked briefly with WriteFor Me at a previous company and liked their approach to content development and production. When I started mapping out my content strategy for GRC after joining the company late last year, WriteFor Me came immediately to mind as a great choice to create the sort of content I was looking for.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We had a great kickoff call where I walked our Content Marketing Strategist through the basics of our products, the strategic thinking behind the effort, and the goals I am looking to achieve.
Following this discussion I added our Strategist to my weekly team discussions so we could brainstorm content ideas and set a cadence for outline delivery, reviews/edits, and publishing, with the goal being to have one article published each week.
It took about a month before we had publish-ready drafts -- a perfectly reasonable amount of time for the authors to get up to speed on our technology and work with us to develop our voice for the content going forward. We are currently at almost 1 article per week, with any delays largely being due to how busy my team is, which can interfere with the review cycle.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Our Content Marketing Strategist, Dante, and his assistant Hope.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Over the course of the past 3 months we have seen consistent increases in our LinkedIn following and blog traffic. The content is also being received on LinkedIn, prompting good comments and conversations. This is an ongoing projects, and I expect we'll see continued improvements along these lines going forward. The content will also be re-packaged into ebooks and other lead generation-oriented deliverables as we build up our number of articles over the coming months.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Our workflow has been very good: clear, consistent communication with our Strategist, quick response to request for edits, changes, or rewrites.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The quality of writing is very high, and their ability to learn about and grasp new information, new solutions, and new technology and translate that into easy to digest lightweight blog content is very strong. They're also just a pleasure to work with.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Sometimes there are a few too many versions of the same draft floating around, which can make it difficult to figure out what content needs to be reviewed, what content is a down-level version that has been rewritten or retitled, etc. However, this was only really an issue with the earliest drafts, when the writers were still learning about our products and technology.

Content Marketing & Blog Writing Services for SaaS Company
"WriteForMe essentially served as an extension of our content team."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the content marketing manager at a SaaS company that serves the dental industry. Specifically, we provide solutions to the front offices of dental practices; we offer marketing and patient communication tools to make their work lives easier and create positive patient experiences that keep them coming back to their practice.
What challenge were you trying to address with WriteForMe?
We hired WriteForMe because our content team was small — there were only three of us — and we also experienced some turnover. At the same time, we were being pulled in many directions. As a result, we needed an agency that we could partner with to help us develop more SEO-focused and educational blog content and keep our blog active.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WriteForMe essentially served as an extension of our content team; they performed keyword research and provided outlines for us. They also wrote the blog posts and published them for us. That way, all I had to do on my end was edit the blog content and work with our design team to get images for the post.
What is the team composition?
Our primary point of contact was a content strategist. We also worked with their content marketing manager who also served as the project manager. They had a team of writers who created the outlines and wrote the content.
How did you come to work with WriteForMe?
Our former content director found them. We hoped to lay a foundation for our content, which we wanted to be helpful while providing tactical advice to our audience. That was the reason we engaged them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $5,000–$10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership lasted from August 2021–April 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
WriteForMe did a great job at taking everything we gave them and creating content for us. They worked quickly, and the team was well-organized. Overall, they were a huge time-saver. They performed keyword research, came up with blog titles, developed outlines, and wrote the content.
Writing content takes time, and a lot of steps are involved in creating a single written piece. They saved us hours of work so we could focus on other areas of our job. They served as an extension of our content marketing team.
How did WriteForMe perform from a project management standpoint?
We had weekly meetings with the content strategist, and she did a great job providing us with agenda, which she’d send ahead of time. As a result, we knew exactly what to expect in each meeting. We also had time to prepare for the discussions and review the agenda. If we needed to add anything to the agenda, we could email her and she’d add it. They were always easy to get in touch with; we didn’t have to communicate a lot using emails because our weekly calls were truly efficient.
In terms of tools, we used AirTable to monitor the content production process; I could see if something was in outline development or if it had been written and ready for editing. Simply put, everything was well-organized, and we always knew what they were doing. We also used StoryChief to post our blogs.
They also did a great job meeting deadlines. For context, we wanted to have one blog post per week, and they managed their time based on that — they always hit deadlines. If we needed time-sensitive blog posts, they were able to prioritize them and deliver the posts when we needed them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
WriteForMe did everything we needed them to do; from content strategy to outline development to writing and posting the blog articles to our website. They were well-organized, reliable, and easy to work with. Knowing that they have a wide variety of clients, I think they did a great job getting up to speed on our industry and being able to write for our audience.
However, they also provided us with the option to do just the content strategy and hand it off to someone else to write. They also had clients in various industries so they could adapt well to different needs — an important quality for a content agency.
Are there any areas they could improve?
This is the feedback I’d say to any content writer: there’s always room to improve writing — a perfect content writer doesn’t exist. When writing a piece of content, whether it’s an email, a blog post, or a pillar page, look at what they’re writing and edit any awkward sentences or phrases. Be direct and concise. Don’t use filler copy or fluffy language.
They have to make things align with the client’s expectations. Every piece of content should be helpful and provide advice that the reader can pull from the content itself. This is the feedback I’d say to any content writer: there’s always room to improve your writing. Once you've written a piece, edit your work. Cut the fluff, remove the filler copy, and revise the awkward sentences and phrases. Be direct and concise. Every piece of content should be helpful and provide advice that the reader can use.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You should know exactly what you want your content, blog, or resource center to accomplish. Be extremely clear on that so that WriteForMe can provide content that truly aligns with your vision and goals.
Be ready to provide persona documents and set them up with a product demo. You can also share content from your resource center that you want them to emulate. The more information you provide them with, the better the quality of their outputs will be.
On top of that, an open line of communication is important. If you have positive or constructive feedback, be sure to share that with them. That’s how they’ll continue to become stronger writers.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the owner of an eCommerce Bridal Shop. We provide bridal attires and accessories to customers.
For what projects/services did your company hire WriteForMe?
We are a start-up company who are looking for improving SEO of our new eCommerce website. This includes but is not limited to fixing our website content and generating blog posts.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched a few different content writing services online and discover WriteForMe. After going over the marketing content playbook together, we decided to work with them. We appreciate the personalized service they provide. They spent time getting to know your company's vision, scope, and goal before they start the planning.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After reviewing our current SEO and competitor analysis (marketing content playbook), they listed out a few keywords and suggestions on the initial blog topics. Each blog post is posted after our approval. We have weekly meetings with the account manager to ensure everyone is on the same page and is satisfied with the results. It’s also a good time to discuss any new topics and ideas.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
At first, we chatted with Jamie to go over Content Marketing Playbook and get a general idea of content planning. Then we were assigned an account manager, Chris. After working with Chris for 2 months, we start working with another account manager, Diane, and her team member, Angie.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our new blogs and backlinks has increased our organic search by 30% in 3 months. We use their blog contents to make e-newsletter, and the click rate has increased by 25%. The contents are very well written.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Email is the main channel of communication. They always send the outlines through email for approval before they move on to the actual content writing. We have one 30 minutes virtual meeting every week to review any questions, concerns, or comments. They also use airtable as a mater sheet to keep track of all the plans and documents. It is very organized and they always complete it on time.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I am impressed by how personalized their service can be. The weekly 30 minutes meeting is a time when I can address my business goal/need. And even I don’t have a clear plan, the account manager, Diane, is able to assist and plan out the strategy with me.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We had an unpleasant experience with our previous account manager. It’s just an individual case. But it might be great to work on the internal training on your team.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a People as a Service business. We primarily function within the BPO space and work with tech-enabled growth companies in the new economy industry. Our primary purpose is to provide customer experience and processing interactions.
What challenge were you trying to address with WriteForMe?
We needed help with creating client-specific content. Our company had a great story and solution, but we were struggling with fulfilling specific marketing needs, so we needed someone to step in to help us tell our story creatively from a content perspective.
What was the scope of their involvement?
WriteForMe helps us with content marketing. We discussed our vision and the solutions we could provide, and they helped us translate that into a language that our target market could understand. The team then conducted their own discovery before ideating and coming back with content suggestions.
Finally, they began writing the content, inputting appropriate keywords to help with SEO. After we review and approve their work, they then publish it. WriteForMe has provided blogs, white papers, and insights.
What is the team composition?
They’re a small team that includes a project manager, a creative director, 3–4 content writers, and QA experts. The project manager is our main point of contact and works directly with our marketing head.
How did you come to work with WriteForMe?
The team was referred to us by another company that we work with. WriteForMe had an excellent reputation among startups, so we hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $25,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in April 2021, and it’s an ongoing partnership.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They successfully work within our desired themes and content, and we’ve seen an increase in sales within the verticals they’ve worked on. The team has done a great job of providing high-quality and creative content with appropriate keywords. As a result, our traffic has increased.
How did WriteForMe perform from a project management standpoint?
WriteForMe has been highly effective in terms of project management. They always start promptly and meet their deadlines, which is essential because they create new content every month.
Communication is also easy, and they’ve done an excellent job of being flexible to our desired channels like Slack. We also have weekly check-ins and a shared document repository.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Our cultures are very aligned — like us, WriteForMe is employee-centric, and their team really enjoys their jobs. Our strong connection makes it easier for them to absorb our mission and values. After working with them for several months, they started to understand our company so much that they can now navigate the project independently.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have nothing bad to say about them — we’re happy with their services.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a true partner, so just be very honest and open about your needs. Once they’ve taken in your requirements, they’ll find the right talent to guide you through the creative process.

"We're really happy with the work we've received from WriteForMe."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the content manager and am responsible for all digital and print content the company creates.
For what projects/services did your company hire WriteForMe?
We launched a new and improved website but we didn't have a strong SEO presence or a built out blog. We found WriteForMe who were able to create a strong SEO/keyword plan for us by taking into consideration our goals and industry. They now write articles that we use on our blogs, for white papers and for closing sales deals.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We did a simple search online and discovered WriteForMe among a few other content writing services. We decided to work with WriteForMe over the other services because they offered an unparalleled amount of personalization in their process. Rather than just writing surface-level content for our site, they spoke with us about our goals and specific SEO keywords we wanted to tackle. Because of this, we knew they were the right solution.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We started the project with a kickoff meeting where they presented us our current standing in the SEO space we were trying to get into. From there, they helped us determine the best keywords to go after and presented some initial article ideas. In the beginning, we had calls twice a week with our account manager who was there to ensure we were happy with the articles as they were produced.
Moving forward now to 4 months into our relationship, we now have weekly meetings with the account manager where we determine the new topics of focus and explore new goals.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work one-on-one with an account manager who makes the final edits to the articles before they are sent to our team for approval. I know there are also content writers who work with the account manager to write all of our articles.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have seen immense success with using these articles to help close sales. They have helped set us up as experts in our field. We are also seeing success with SEO, ranking higher for the keywords that are the focus of many articles.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow is seamless and it's honestly my favorite call of the week. They make the process so simple to approve or edit articles and they are also extremely responsive if we need to contact them.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I think their hyper-personalization approach is really unique. They really take on our goals as if they're their own and ensure all of the articles they produce align with those goals. They also clearly work hard to hire and train content writers to have an in-depth understanding of the company which shows in the writing - the articles look like they were written by our employees.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We're really happy with the work we've received from WriteForMe. I don't think there's anything they could improve on.

Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so. What they’re doing right now is perfect.

The more familiar they are, the better they will be able to deliver. Even as they continue working on the project, new clients should maintain their conversations at every update.

What challenge were you trying to address with WriteForMe?
We were looking for a company to handle our web content. We also wanted them to generate blog articles for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?

What is the team composition?
Jamie and Erica (Strategic Partnerships Manager) were our primary points of contact.

What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in April 2019 and it’s an ongoing partnership.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been tracking our traffic, and comparing it to competitors. We seem to be beating our competition, which is great. We can probably attribute that to the new SEO strategies we’re trying with them. They’ve been able to save us time. They allowed us to sit down and articulate what we do and how we do it. We were able to boil down why we believe we’re unique in our market.
How did WriteForMe perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been great at meeting deadlines. They’re very easy to reach—I communicate with them mostly through email. They’re timely and responsive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’d highlight their attention to detail. They invested time to understand our organization and needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not really. Any suggestions we had, they were very eager to incorporate into their workflow. They're responsive to feedback in that way, so I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
