Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a marketing specialist at an electronic manufacturer. We’re known for making top-of-the-line sensors for the weather.

What challenge were you trying to address with WK Studios?

Our company does a lot of educational seminars, but we thought it was time to move to digital for the content. We hired them to produce a video for us. 

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team handled the entire filming and editing process for the live-action video. They recorded it and split it into four main topics for us, so viewers wouldn’t need to watch an 8-hour seminar.

Although the video was completed within a month, we needed them to re-edit the final version to match our company’s new branding a few months later.

Two people from their crew came to film the video. 

How did you come to work with WK Studios?

The quotes here in the Boston area were out of my budget. I have a connection with one of WK Studios’ employees, so I asked him to review the quotes and he said they were ridiculously overpriced. I asked him to give me a better quote and they did.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $6,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November 2019–February 2020. 

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The videos have done really well. People are signing up to watch the videos, download our forms, and we’re getting better leads. 

How did WK Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication was very clear and excellent, especially since I was working with a friend. We mostly spoke through text and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They went out of their way—going above and beyond to meet our expectations. For example, they outsourced the audio of the project to an expert so the quality of the work would be top-notch. Their crew was also extremely friendly. I also appreciated that when I asked for their input on the other quotes we received, they made sure to point out red flags and show us what wasn’t necessary. For future projects, we’re definitely going to continue using them.

No, there’s nothing they could improve.
