BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the president and CEO of Newberry Tanks. We're a midsize manufacturing organization that fabricates steel tanks for the petroleum industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wintellisys, Inc.?

We were looking for a vendor to help us with our IT infrastructure.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We found that the services we were buying were outdated and not as secure as we thought they were, so Wintellisys made recommendations in terms of the quality IT services that would also help us save money. 

We've consolidated our managed services under one umbrella, and now Wintellisys is managing all of our IT infrastructure. They helped us transfer our applications to Microsoft cloud after we discontinued our on-premise server. They also set up our wireless networks and our email. 

What is the team composition? 

We mostly work with Chris (CEO and Managing Principal, Wintellisys, Inc.), who has a team underneath him. 

How did you come to work with Wintellisys, Inc.?

I found them through a web search. We talked to three other companies, but Wintellisys stood out to us because they were not trying to sell us the services that we didn't need. They were able to quickly assess our situation and propose a solution, so we decided they'd be a good fit. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent over $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2017 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Wintellisys provides enterprise class services. They help us manage a full stack of Microsoft products and offer solutions that others haven’t been able to offer. They're very dependable, so we haven't had any interruptions in our workflow. 

How did Wintellisys, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint? 

They've met all our requirements. Also, they always make themselves available when we need them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They take care of our infrastructure, so we can grow and focus on other aspects of our business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They're a fairly small company. We don't need any more people than what they've assigned to us, but they could probably think of expanding a little bit.
