Mimi - Maintenance and Support
We carry out the monthly maintenance and implementation of new functionalities to the Mimi page,
Integration with a Mimi extension has also been developed, in which we are integrating with the Mercado Pago payment platform.

Lavabox - App Development
How does it work? They place smart boxes inside your building. If you want to send any of your clothes to be washed, you go to the boxes, leave the clothes there, a request alert is issued, and Lavabox collects the product and returns it to you clean. Everything notifies you through the application.
The backend is made in Node.js, and the frontend of the web and administrator in React.js.
The applications are made natively.

Menu3 - App Development
A category-based restaurant search application was developed. You can see the dishes and the characteristics of the things they sell. It is natively developed on IOS and Android.

My Pay - Software Development
My Pay is a mobile app that allows users to save time when making purchases in physical stores in order to avoid queues and not have direct contact with other people. We received the product idea and we validate te business model with the final users. Then, the MVP was developed and implemented using barcodes and QR technology. Additionally, we proceeded to design and propose the business verticals integrations that transformed this into a SaaS of great value for business, integrating the B2B into the B2C. Currently, the conversion rate of the App among businesses is over 40% and there is great market potential due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whiz began by documenting our client’s UX to evaluate and find the best choice for us before developing our Android and iOS native app. We wanted the app to enable our customers to review their insurance policies and to view the contact information of account executives, among other things. We also wanted to allow non-clients to view general information and invitations to purchase a policy within our company.

They were referred by a friend, so we approached them. After seeing their portfolio, we had a small test project and we liked the results, so we decided to work with them.

We had some delays in the initial schedule, but they were mostly caused by delays in our own processes. We primarily used email, phone calls, and WhatsApp to communicate, but they also used Slack to communicate within our teams.

I’m the digital transformation leader of a personal care retail company.
What challenges were you trying to address with Whiz?
During the last couple of years, we have been going through a digital transformation process for some of our brands. Last year, due to the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company decided to start selling directly through digital channels. We started with a Facebook chatbot and created a new website — this year, we began a strategy to analyze our target customers to develop products and digital services to serve them.
We realized, however, that we still lacked many skills within our team to execute this project. Because of this, we decided to work with an external agency.

They have adapted to our previous platforms such as WordPress and WooCommerce, but they have also proposed new approaches and technologies.

It’s a bit difficult to judge their scheduling, because we haven’t been very strict with deadlines. For instance, we wanted to start work by a certain date but had a relaunching process of our website and were not able to do it until later. Issues like these are very common and happen within every company — Whiz has been very flexible to adapt and adjust the scope and schedule of the project to meet what we need. Going forward, however, I would like to make sure that we adhere to a certain project management methodology, such as Scrum.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What has been most impressive to me about Whiz is their flexibility and willingness to adapt to changes. They really consider the needs of our business, which set them apart from other vendors on the market. In recent years, we have worked with many different partners, and none but Whiz adapted so perfectly to our business leads. They were able to meet everything we had in mind for this technical lead role.
Are there any areas they could improve?
When it came to their workflows and framework, I would have liked to know more about their methodologies. If I had that insight, we might have been able to adapt and streamline our collaboration processes.
