Headless Shopify with React, Gatsby and StrapCMS
An Israel-based Beauty brand that operates in the United States and Europe offering eco-friendly high-end products.
For the company, we implemented a completely new website based on Shopify as a business backend and a Headless customer-facing frontend app with React, Gatsby, GraphQL, and an additional Headless CMS Strapi for content management.
Due to using cutting-edge technologies and architectural approaches the website got a big performance boost regarding page speed and user experience. This lead to lower customer acquisition costs and higher conversion rates.

Online platform for insurance company
Pinc Solutions Pty is an insurance provider. For their business, we created an innovative online system that facilitates the full insurance process from initial contact to the purchase of the insurance. With the development of a customer-facing website, robust admin panel, and integrations to their CRM(Zoho) we enabled their business to operate completely online and that allowed them to acquire more customers and gave them a competitive advantage.
We integrated also other tools they use to increase their business`s productivity like affiliate software and marketing automation with Mailchimp.
The technologies we used for the project were PHP, Laravel, MySQL, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Flight and vacation booking platform
We moved their travel website`s frontend from Aurelia.js to React with Next. We integrated with their business backend via REST API using RTK(Redux toolkit) to fetch all flight and travel information and with their Headless CMS Strapi to fetch all content and translations via GraphQL.

Mobile spa business software
Elevatione is a high-end SPA and cosmetics company that has SPA centers in different countries and offers premium cosmetics through their eCommerce store.
They started a new business venture which offers mobile SPA treatments. The treatments are offered by a fleet of SPA vehicles operating in the US. The SPA vehicles have all the required amenities and instruments which make them fully functioning SPA centers on wheels. In addition, every vehicle serves also as a brick-and-mortar store with its own POS able to make direct sales to customers.
The software solution we developed for their new business consists of a Shopify store that facilitates the booking process, integrations with their business software stack, and a custom-built platform that is used by the operators of the vehicles to manage all aspects of the business process.
The technologies and platforms we used for the development are the following:
- Shopify - for the website which facilitates the booking process and also offers B2C sales
- Mind and body(https://www.mindbodyonline.com/) - a Wellnes-specific ERP. We used that for schedule, staff, appointment, and service management. This platform was the main business backend for the business owners to keep track of the business`s KPIs
- Custom software for the operators of the SPA vehicles - The technologies we used were React, Laravel and MySQL. This software was integrated with all the business software stack of the client - Mindandbody, Shopify, and Zoho
- Zoho business suite - The CRM that facilitates the sales and analytics part of the business. The business had a call center dedicated to converting leads and retention selling. We also leveraged Zoho Analytics(their BI tool) to build reports and graphs that follow KPIs.
- Integrations - we used various platforms and technologies to keep all touchpoints between the different systems up to date. We did this by using Apiant, Zapier, and a custom build middleware built with Lumen(PHP)

B2B Sales platform
Matrax is a company in the mattress industry. They offer a wide variety of mattresses and other related products. They have a wide range of vendors and stores that carry their products. Their business model of working with a large number of stores and partners required them to optimize their B2B sales process and management.
We developed a custom B2B platform connected with their other business software stack that allows for their vendors and suppliers to make orders, track purchases, and deliveries, and get information about their full product catalog along with their current promotions.
The platform we developed with Laravel, Vuejs, MySQL, and an API Integration to their Microsoft Dynamics Nav ERP.

Platform connecting service providers with clients
Maistorimo is a platform aiming to provide service providers, mainly in the construction, renovation, interior design, and architecture space to promote their services. The platform consists of two main systems
1. Customer-facing web application where all active service providers, their profiles, and the projects they have completed are sown
2. A comprehensive admin panel for the service providers from which they manage all their content and get key analytics into their performance on the platform.
The platform is built with PHP, Laravel, Vuejs, MySQL, and Cloudinary as a CDN.

Moerie is a company offering its own high-end cosmetics products for hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows care.
We implemented a new custom theme for their Shopify store.

Elevatione is a high-end cosmetics company that also operates its own SPA centers across the world.

We worked together with The Salt`s team on the development of the micro-influencer marketing platform. The platforms enables brands to run marketing campaigns with micro-influencer at scale.

I'm the CEO of a SaaS company that provides e-commerce services for sellers. Basically, we’re a marketplace that helps sellers find suppliers to work with.

Our e-commerce platform was custom-made, and they developed everything from scratch. They handled all of the backend development efforts, UI design, AWS machines, and the setup of our servers. Key technologies used were Laravel, vGIS, Elasticsearch, and MySQL.

I worked with about five people, including a project manager, a back- and frontend developer, and a designer. Their project manager was our main point of contact.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of e-commerce at Amsalem Global Travel Management, a global travel agency that combines technical and corporate positions. We have about 30 people on our development team, and we collaborate with other partners, like travel agencies, on the offline side of our business. We mostly serve the corporate market, but we also focus a little bit on leisure. In my position, I’m in charge of the innovation and technology side.
What challenge were you trying to address with Webrika?
Most of our developers are backend developers and software engineers; we just have one frontend developer. We needed help with frontend development, so we engaged with Webrika.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Webrika has helped us move our website’s frontend framework to React.js. Initially, I sent them our documentation and our API to test, after which they provided me with a quote. Then, I opened a Jira board for them, where I placed the user stories, requirements, and tasks for this project. After they checked and agreed on the requirements, they started with the development process, and they’ve been helping us since.
What is the team composition?
We work with two frontend developers and one full stack developer who has been involved part-time in the project, focusing on the backend API integration. We’ve also worked with their CEO and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Webrika?
I collected several quotes from various companies, including Webrika. Although they weren’t the most economical option, their approach was very similar to ours, and their CEO understood what we wanted very well. We also liked the technologies they used.

We’ve spent $8,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. We’re going to finish the project around the start of July 2022, so we’re on track to meet the deadline.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t finished the project yet, so we don’t have any results. However, our QA team will review their code, and if they don’t approve it, Webrika will need to change it to meet our expectations. Thus, we have the quality practically guaranteed.
How did Webrika perform from a project management standpoint?
Webrika is very communicative. We talk over Slack every day and have weekly Google Meet meetings. Additionally, we use Jira and Bitbucket to manage the project.

Webrika understands our needs well. Their CEO is smart and always wants to do things better, which is hard to find.

It would be good if Webrika requested more specifications so that they could understand the task 100% before starting the development process.
