We were building a brand new homepage and landing pages in a very short period of time.

I spoke with a developer, an SEO/copywriting/design resource, and an account director. I spoke to that account director at the beginning of the project.

How did you come to work with Webpuppies Digital?

I contacted three different providers, and Webpuppies’ proposal was very detailed. They gave me the most straightforward answer. I found that if I engaged them I knew exactly what they would do in terms of work. They could also meet the timeline, which was very important to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent a bit over $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from the end of April until the 8th of May 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website was finally optimized for mobile and the Google Analytics were installed, meaning I could track all online traffic and associate it with an online sale. I could tell my cost-per-acquisition and didn’t have to spend money in the dark.

From a design perspective, they understood exactly what was needed. This is what made it very easy to work with them. They were quick to implement feedback and also showed us best practices, acting as a consultant and suggesting things. Usually, vendors only focus on exactly what you want and won’t try to challenge you. Webpuppies Digital is the expert in design, and they challenged us to make sure we got the proper results.

How did Webpuppies Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

In the beginning, they sent me emails but then we moved into WhatsApp communication because of the short timeline. They were very responsive. One of their project managers sat up with me until 1 or 2 am until the project was complete. When we launched the paid promotion, it happened at midnight and Webpuppies stayed up to make sure everything worked. They were always there and never counted the hours. It definitely made me feel less alone knowing they were there. Webpuppies Digital was extremely patient and proactive during the entire project. They were literally part of our own team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their passion for their project stood out. They took ownership of the project as well. They made sure everything went well and that we met our timeline. Since we’re in Singapore, information can come to us very late but they were very understanding of our timing. If the design wasn’t okay or something, they always tried to fix things.

I’ve worked with a lot of web developers before and this is the first time I didn’t stress too much about the project. They always sent me access to the Figma design file; they didn’t just send me a PDF or JPEG. This allows me to see them construct the design in real-time, following the discussion in WhatsApp and seeing the changes being made. We also had a dashboard on Google Sheets that they updated on a daily basis. It has all the necessary information in it which brings me peace of mind.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not at this time. They were great, and I’m going to engage them for the next phase of this project as well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you give a proper brief to avoid unnecessary work. They work very hard, so it’s best to not waste time. At the beginning of my project, a lot of things were uncertain.

I work for Quadmark; we specialize in providing go-to-market strategies for IT companies or companies that work with IT products or services. I’m an IT manager and solution architect in charge of all IT deliveries within the office in Singapore and for IT projects we take on from clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webpuppies Digital?

We needed a digital agency partner that could help develop UI/UX concepts that our team comes up with. This specific deliverable was a website for one of our clients. The company’s Asian division was looking to develop a curriculum or a good market strategy for their sales team. They wanted to roll out a strategy for each of the roles and each of the sub-brands across the Asian geography, roughly 12–13 geographies across 2–3 business verticals.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We proposed an online digital solution to the client, as opposed to their current process of mapping it in PowerPoints and Excel files. We wanted to make the whole process accessible via the web, so we built a portal where the sales teams could access all the resources available and easily manage the process of publishing sales collateral. We were well-equipped on the design and strategy side of things, so we just needed Webpuppies Digital to build the website.

We’re also working on a couple of proposals currently, and bringing Webpuppies Digital in as our digital arm. We have work coming in from the same client, on which we’d like to engage Webpuppies Digital again. 

What is the team composition?

We work with two project managers, including Bernard (Project Manager, Webpuppies Digital), as well as with four other members of their development team.

How did you come to work with Webpuppies Digital?

We were looking for a new partner because our existing one had no bandwidth to support us at that moment. We looked at other tech providers in the vicinity, and Webpuppies Digital happened to be in the same building as us. We had a couple of chats with them and checked out what their strengths were. They’d been in the digital space for a number of years, had a team that was available to support this role, and had a competitive price, so we gave it a go.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $50,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Webpuppies Digital in December 2018 and the relationship is still ongoing; however, this individual project has wrapped up.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Having them on board as the digital partner for building this website was really helpful. They took our directions and executed them with frequent updates and clarifications. Webpuppies Digital has been very professional with the work they’ve executed for us.

How did Webpuppies Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Our primary methods of communication are email for official requirements and WhatsApp for chats. If something needs to be turned around quickly, they just come to our office and we explain it to them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a very young, dynamic team. They’re enthusiastic all the time, and, because of their enthusiasm, it’s hard for them to say no to our requests on the implementation timeline or the UI/UX we're proposing. They’re also very thoughtful in their feedback and aren’t afraid to tell us that there are improvements that could be made in the future to the product. We value the relationship we have with Webpuppies Digital. I don’t have any complaints and it is a breeze working with them.

They were already servicing the company for seven years when I came on.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The campaigns are really their specialty. We’ve launched on time. They’re a really effective partner. I’m not even aware when they fix things; they just get it done and keep the websites problem-free.

How did Webpuppies Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Webpuppies Digital is very responsive. Even on weekends, they generally get back to us within an hour. There are times when they can’t respond right away because the problem is too complex, but it’s always within 24 hours. The contract states that they need to respond within 48 hours, but they always do in less than half that time. They come back to us with actual solutions and solve our issues. We use Trello a lot.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really like that they’re always looking out for new technologies and trends, such as cryptocurrency and VR trading simulations. They always have interesting things to share with us. I know that if I want something, they’ll have some ideas to share about it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be better at upselling. I don’t even have to be involved; they just keep things running. This agency quietly does their work. They could push a lot of things if they wanted to, but they don’t have that kind of mentality.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re a small, nimble company, and they can give you really personalized service. They’re not going to be very corporate. If you can work with that, then that’s fine. Some companies would have an issue with them being small.
