he first goal was to perform a migration of the website from Magento 1.9.3.1 to the Magento 2.2.0 platform. This idea was to help our client move the site to a newer more robust platform version with all it’s advantages, as well as preserve all the integral business data like customers, products etc.
The second goal was to create new designs for the website meeting Magento 2 best practices, but keeping the existing and recognizable look and feel of the brand from Magento 1 to Magento 2.

Kazoo Petco are a pet accessory wholesale company offering a wide array of pet products. Its product range includes pretty much everything for dog, cat, bird, fish, other small animals and reptiles.
Challenge
Kazoo Petco imports most of its products and strives to provide the best quality products to its retailers and customers. Their whole QC process was manual and paper driven. The management team in Sydney was finding it hard to streamline their QC process as it was all paper trail. Kazoo Petco wanted to keep a track of their supplier performance in terms of quality and meeting shipping deadlines. Kazoo Petco wanted to be able to check and report quality of the products before its even shipped by the supplier. They wanted to be able to generate reports of the performance of the suppliers over a period of time, performance of product quality and other custom reports that would give them insight into quality of the suppliers and products.
What We Did
Webential was engaged to build a cloud-based system with the latest technology. It was also critical that the new system be easy for their QC manager and other QC staff to learn and use. This required analyzing their paper process to understand how their process worked. Next, the whole process what redesigned to incorporate current best practices and look and feel of the application was created. All the wire frames and front end mock up laid the foundation for Kazoo Petco to begin to build its full-featured QC system.

Challenge
Most of the products of Turbo Scaffolding are imported from different regions of the world and their products are sold to companies across Australia. The challenge Turbo Scaffolding faced was Inventory Management and Stocktaking, their level of stock and forecasting were a real challenge for the staff. They were looking for a robust solution where they can manage their imports, inventory, sales and logistics all from one system. They also wanted to monitor the shipping containers ETA so that they can quote timeframes to their customers accordingly. I’m the owner of Sunshade Shutters & Blinds. We install plantation shutters, outdoor and indoor blinds, security doors, and fly screens.
What challenge were you trying to address with Webential?
We needed a broad range of marketing, advertising, and design services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Webential helps us with lead generation, advertising, and marketing, as well as with website, brochure, and ads design. They also place PPC ads on Google, Facebook, and other channels. Their initial project was to build my website, but our relationship has been ongoing since.
What is the team composition?
Although I’ve seen a couple of Webential’s team members’ names when exchanging emails, and some of them have asked me questions here or there, I mainly interact with Akshay (Founder & Director).
How did you come to work with Webential?
I had someone else create a website for me, but I wasn’t happy with it. I saw Webential’s credits on a competitor’s website, and I was really impressed with it. Before I contacted them, I did some research and saw that they were based in the US. I was also impressed by their website, so I reached out to them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $22,000 AUD (approximately $16,000 USD). The website cost around $10,000 AUD (approximately $7,300 USD), and the advertising cost us around $1,200 AUD (approximately $880 USD) per month at peak of investment.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around May 2020, and they launched the site in December 2020. I plan to keep working with them in the foreseeable future because I don’t think I’ll find someone better than them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
As I’m an expert in the industry, I’ve learned things that others haven’t. Thus, I knew what I needed from my website so that it could take me from zero to 100, and Webential delivered exactly that.
Our website was launched with high regard, and the Facebook advertising they create is top-notch as well. I consider that I have one of the best websites in the industry, to the point that customers don’t think that we’re a small company, and they place us among other big stores as a well-established company.
Unfortunately, we’re still a small company, so we don’t have the capacity or resources to keep adding things to our website. However, I can imagine how well it will look two years from now, as we keep working on further improvements.
How did Webential perform from a project management standpoint?
Webential’s project management is fantastic. We communicate via email, phone calls, and SMS.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Webential is the best, without a doubt, and their talent distinguishes them from other providers. I intend to create a super company, which requires the best talent in the industry. Webential is exactly that; their talent surpasses everyone else I’ve worked with.

Not at all.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very engaged with Webential as much as possible. They actually told me that themselves. They told me that I was a lot more engaged in my project than other clients that they had worked with, which is why my website turned out to be as great as it did.

Their entire team is great to work with and communicates really well. It was easy working with them as they engaged me in fine details of the project. Even when we didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted, they came up with different proposals and gave us exactly what we needed. We never felt any kind of communication gap. In fact, everything was done in a smooth way where our team and theirs collaborated together for this project. They used Skype for day-to-day communication and the entire project was managed over Asana.

Their customer service and their company culture were outstanding. They were receptive to our thoughts and really listened to what we wanted to ensure that we were happy. Webential came in with an affordable pricing plan and they were always flexible and willing to make the changes that we needed on time. They were quick, and their services were exceptional. Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of Skin Matrix. We’re an e-commerce business.
What challenge were you trying to address with Webential?
We were looking for a company to help us with our Magento backend maintenance and implementing new IDs for the website to improve conversion and improvements of the customer experience. We had worked with many companies prior to finding Webential, and we were almost considering leaving Magento because we couldn’t find anyone that was really good — until we engaged with Webential.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They help us with Magento maintenance on a monthly basis. Their team also helped us move from Magento 1 to Magento 2. When we did that transition, they handled that entire redesign as well. They assist in our marketing; we brainstorm ideas for how we can improve marketing across the website and how that links in with Facebook and Google Ads campaigns. They handle paid ads, but if I want to boost a post, I let them know. Their team is also handling the longer-term strategy, doing all the shopping catalogs and e-commerce catalogs. They also do our SEO.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The engagement has been fantastic, and their service is great. When we switched over to Webential looking after our website and handling our redesign, our sales increased by at least 25%–35% within the first month or so. Their team is punctual and speedy on any issues with the website.
They’ve always been able to find a solution to everything that has come across. Cost per conversion has gone down and conversions have gone up from the Facebook and Google Ads campaigns. Webential has our best interests at heart.
How did Webential perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is great. They’re better than any other company that I’ve worked with. If there’s ever an issue, Webential is extremely contactable. They reply quickly, and we’ve never had an issue of a deadline being pushed back for a significant amount of time. While other companies often have an attitude of not caring, Webential really cares about the project. Our teams mostly communicate through email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very genuine. Webential sincerely wants to see our business succeed. They have a long-term focus and are great with their strategy. Their team has been able to fix any issue. In the past, other companies have dragged issues on and on. Webential is more knowledgeable, prompt, and honest.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I’m really happy with how things are. I can’t fault them at all.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you have a Magento website, just try working with them. I’ve tried so many companies, and it’s so disheartening but Webential doesn’t waste any time. Work with them, and you’ll soon see that it’s a worthwhile change.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the digital technology specialist of Industry Link Media. My company is a provider of spare parts in the mining industry for heavy equipment. When mining companies and contractors need spare parts, we source them and send them their way. In my role, I handle all the digital projects and communicate with all the stakeholders.
What challenge were you trying to address with Webential?
Our team brought them on for development services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve done a lot of work with Webential. Most recently, they implemented an ERP system for us. Now, they provide ongoing support for the ERP. They also handle our website and mobile app development projects. Webential has also recently handled a website revamp for us. The site is on WordPress.
Whenever we need a website or mobile app, we reach out and try to get resources from Webential who’ll get the work done. If there’s something we need to be changed or customized, we engage them and they get the work done. Currently, we’re working on a new application development project. I’ve done the wireframes, and we’re in the planning phase right now.

It depends on the project. I work with Kushan (Team Lead), Akshay (Founder), as well as other developers and architects.

Their team is adaptable when getting projects underway. Additionally, their team members are very friendly. I can talk to them as if they’re a part of my own team. They’re receptive to feedback.
How did Webential perform from a project management standpoint?
We utilize Asana for project management. Our teams have weekly online calls to discuss the projects and any next steps. All of our projects with them have been smooth. They update me with a schedule and always get back to me.

They look after my website, SEO, and Google Ads.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built my website. Whenever I come up with ideas or want to add new pages, they make sure the site is up to date. They also provide SEO services and write content with the goal of improving our rankings on SERPs. Finally, they run my ad campaigns. I give them my budget and they do the rest.

They come up with ideas that I wouldn’t have come up with on my own. For example, they presented ideas for a web char and booking system. The webchat in particular has done very well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they need to return.

They’re worth the investment. In the past, I’ve worked with cheaper vendors, but the quality of their work wasn’t as high. I’d rather spend a little more with Webential if it means I get a better product.

I'm an Owner/Director of an online Men's Grooming store. We sell luxury men's grooming products ranging from Shave Creams to Beard Oils and everything in between.

We were a relatively new company to the sector and hired Webential to migrate our WooCommerce website over to a Magento one.
How did you select Webential and what were the deciding factors?
After speaking with many web developers Webential was not only cost-effective but always willing to come up with a solution that met our budget. Nothing was too hard, every question was answered with care.

After an initial meeting with Webential to discuss what we were after they sent us a dummy website to help iron out any design issues before creating the Magento website. They worked with us all the way through to the launch of our new website and continue to work with us to this day.
