I am the owner and operator of Snowy Owl Cove. We make and sell organic cosmetics.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebDesk Solutions?
I already had a website, but I wanted to implement a new feature, where customers could take a short quiz to give them an idea of their skin type, which would allow them to shop for the products best for their skin.
I contacted WebDesk because I’d had a terrible experience with the vendor I worked with originally.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
WebDesk implemented the quiz feature in stages. They set it up in a way so that I could go in and change the questions and answers to my quiz, without being dependent upon them. If a user takes the quiz and doesn’t get a response, I’ll get a notification of their answers, and can input their combination in real time. If anyone comes in with that combination again, they’ll get an answer. We’d already had 600 combinations, and WebDesk came up with another 100 more.
Once they were finished with the quiz, I engaged them to work on my website. They worked on two different areas for me over the course of a couple of years.
The website is a full e-commerce website and it is powered by Volusion. It operates at a very complex level, in the sense that anything that has been imagined has been done as far as the background tools and the dashboard.
Generally, I could send them a picture and they, in turn, will show me several different looks of what I asked for that I might want to consider. There will maybe be about five different choices, and I’ll also be able to do a blend of two of those.
What is the team composition?
There are about four people working on the project. There were two other people in the background working on things, and I had two main contacts.
How did you come to work with WebDesk Solutions?
They did everything that I needed them to do and then told me where I was going wrong in my thoughts which was great.
How much have you invested in them?
I would say the cost is just shy of $10,000. They have a maintenance plan that I am going to take full advantage of. The best part of the retainer is that they don’t just limit it to investigating problems, so I can walk away from it and not worry about it.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started with them in August 2018. They’ve done four different phases because each area requires a certain amount of time.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I keep going back to WebDesk because they’ve been able to do anything I ask. They didn’t just promise they can do it, they actually did it, so I’m quite happy. They don’t promise things that they can’t deliver on.
I trust them on my site; they know their way around it, and they can implement changes without disrupting anything else. Once, when I came across an issue with skin quiz after my server updated, WebDesk investigated and solved the problem at no extra cost to me. They even implemented some safeguard code, so if a change occurred again, I would be immediately notified.
How did WebDesk Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
At the beginning of the engagement, there was a bit of a language barrier, so we decided to type to each other to communicate. Typing out what we wanted helped us understand everything instantly.
I’ve been very pleased with their ability to listen, which is why I went back to them. They read my emails line by line and answer any questions I have. Once I make contact with them, they have a Podio system that tracks everything and keeps me in the loop.
Throughout the project, the team has prioritized my project as though it’s their only responsibility. I get daily updates, and in terms of time frame, they work very quickly, without sacrificing accuracy.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understand what I want as a customer. WebDesk really heard what I wanted and sent options back to me to make sure that we were on the same page, and they also let me know when what I was asking for wasn’t realistic or didn’t make sense.
Once we were clear about what the customer wanted, they gave me what I wanted and then some. They didn’t try to hear it through their own mind and translate it differently. They heard what I wanted and delivered what I wanted.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything. We were in a different time zone, but it didn’t feel like it. I have nothing to complain about.

You can trust WebDesk. They have done exactly what they said they would do. You can trust them with your project, to work on your site, and to deliver when they say they are going to deliver.
