Webcapitan clearly detailed working hours required for every category in their initial bid.  They stuck to the hours exactly and overdelivered with the amount of research details they provided us.    Very responsive to my emails and happily hopped on a call to explain results, answer questions, etc.

Turn-around times were just a matter of days for 20+ hours of work during each phase of our project.  They delivered right on budget with well documented work.

Although they were nine hours ahead in Ukraine, the team willingly scheduled time on my schedule when I needed to chat via video. Great command of english--very smooth written and speaking communication. They are very organized and positive.

Only unavoidable distraction was the time zones - nine hours is a fairly large difference - but I knew that going in. And their responsiveness made it very workable.

Improving initial communication and setting clearer expectations from the start would make the collaboration even smoother. Overall, they delivered great results despite this minor issue.

Each milestone had its specific elements that were demonstrated upon completion. These were graphics and layout, forms and functions, back-end programming, and transfer to server for live deployment.

We hired Webcaptain to assist us in a web development project for a client of ours. The client wanted to create a simple, yet extensive gamification system om their website of which we hired WebCaptain to do:

• Gamification system, frontend & backend development. 
• Add ReCaptcha @ login & register to repent bot accounts. 
• Add a custom ToS @ register page. 

Even tho the communication from our client wasn't the most detailed in terms of feedback or project details, WebCaptain did go above and beyond to satisfy the client (and our) needs with great patience.

Our website was last revamped in 2016 and was very out of date. We needed a whole new look for the whole site.

I looked on Freelancer for web developers who had outstanding reviews. Webcapitain stood out to me over everyone else for their incredible reviews. Also their gallery of previous work was impressive.

After initial contact with Webcapitain I gave him a very brief overview of what I wanted. The problem was, I didn't really know what I wanted - I just knew I wanted a different site to the current one. All I asked for was a website that was light and bright and that would be suitable for both students and teachers with a slight technology stance. I was blown away by the very first design I was shown. It was far beyond what I had imagined and was so different to anything that I could have suggested, but it was perfect.

The project was then broken down into stages with the design of the front page. Once that was agreed upon, the other pages were designed and then the coding was written.

I am the Creative Director for CIEDA the creative change agency for not for profits. We provide creative, design and marketing strategy services to not for profits, academia and social enterprises.

Web development. We had already done the branding ourselves and wanted a professional outfit to do the coding and back end and stay with us during the lifetime of the site. Our goal was an accessible site based on vector illustrations because we like them and run a competition about authentic representaiton in digital art.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Having been to Ukraine quite a few times on holiday it was a bit of a no brainer to outsource to a Ukrainian dev team. They generally take things seriously and as a population are intrinsically good with technology. When Webkapitan came up as an option to use I felt it was worth a go because I felt like I was more likely to get a quality and robust product at good value for CIEDA.

If you've used UK dev teams you know that they can often be extremely slow and there is always a bigger fish than you in their pond which means you get pushed further and further down the to do list. I wanted to avoid that and my decision to outsource to Webcapitan has been rewarded.

Full 360 really. They will do the art and design and you need to do the content and decision making. Don't go into this thinking that everything will be on a plate because it takes a lot of in-house work to plan out what you want to say and do. Webcapitan will be able to guide you to some extent but you need to be plugged into

Not sure but likely 3 or 4 people. There's Roman who is the coordinator and director, Alex is CIEDA's account contact and I suspect at least 2 developers who probably prefer to remain out of the spotlight ;)

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Hard to say as this was a new site but generally it appears to be stable, attracts googlebot and looks great.

Direct and matter of fact. Which is what you want in a dev team. Too many UK outfits will tell you you're amazing and then not show up at the altar. Very quick turn around in fact I wonder if they have many breaks at all bar weekends.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

More of a Ronseal outfit so I guess nothing is that impressive or unique and that's exactly what I want. They do the job, they will do it in a timely manner and at a good price. If I wanted unique, I'd do it all myself.... then it'll be uniquely s****.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really. I have quite complex needs but as a Creative Director I like to think I can devise the concepts and brand as much as possible so all I would say is do both parties a favour and plan out what you want at a high level and then the team are able to adapt with you as you go but the onus is on you as the client and they are your outsourced experts rather than going to do everything for you.
