Mercuros invests in low-cost, but highly liquid index tracking exchange traded funds (ETFs) from leading financial providers to build a diversified portfolio, and keep all the costs as low as possible. This way all the focus and the possibility of maximizing your returns are at full capacity.
THE CHALLENGE
One of the core challenges that we faced while building Mercuros was the delivery of the whole project in a short timeframe while integrating a series of complex systems. The platform needed a first place for interaction and user registration. While completing the sign-up process in a second phase, the app needed a payment integration, various subscription plans, and a dedicated reporting and analytics area, with custom charts and real-time data processing.
THE RESULT
The first version of the application included a beautiful design that gathered many positive feedback elements. At the same time, as soon as it engaged with its first users it received various reviews on how easy is to use due to the full pack of instructions and details that users have in their on boarding process.

Automation of the production processes of a bakery
MissCake is a small Romanian bakery shop that offers high-quality services, and has one of the most appreciated cakes and sweets at the events happening in town. Working in the food industry is a challenge by default as the business owner has to often face short deadlines and perishable ingredients.
While having this in mind, planning becomes a primordial step ahead of anything else. MissCake’s owners prepare rigorously, each day what they need to deliver and they take into consideration all the orders that entered during the week. Besides the ongoing daily activity, a typical bakery business needs a higher number of employees, vacation days for them to rest, a thorough planning, and more.
THE CHALLENGE
Resources planning and prioritization are the two elements that can shake the core of a bakery business, and we faced the need to scale the existing solutions for better efficiency. As a first step, we had to build a template that would contain all the bakery’s products and the phases that each product needs to go through in its standardized process.

We are a real estate company. We are building residential complexes in the western part of the country. The apartments we build are premium, our clients also having the possibility to customize and furnish their apartments.

We provide information to our clients in real time, of the stage in which their apartment is located (finished, installed doors, furnished, etc.). Also, new clients can see the available apartments as well as their position in the residential complex. Inside the platform, they have the option to make new requests related to their apartment. They’ve done well, but I think they could’ve planned it a little better. They underestimated a few features, which then resulted in more effort, causing delays on the project. The team realized that they hadn’t estimated those features properly, and they were honest about it and worked through it.
We communicate through Slack and Zoom. We also have a common knowledge repository and sprint management system.

Being a small team, they’re more responsive to what we want to do, and generally more open to any ideas or suggestions we bring. That’s what we like most about them.

They could’ve taken more time to estimate things properly. They should’ve communicated it better if they were unclear about a feature, and planned for the unknowns in the project.

We were looking to develop a website platform.
