Our business is focussed on growth across the UK & Ireland. We needed professional support to fully utilise digital marketing as part of our growth strategy. Web Bureau worked with us across SEO, Paid Search (PPC) and Strategic Social Media Advertising (Facebook & Instagram). The objective of the campaign was to enter new markets and to promote new services within our Business Mobile & VOIP offering.

What were your goals for this project?

Overall, we set out to increase the volume of qualified & targeted leads as part of our sales strategy. Part of this was to introduce our brand and product range to new markets where we previously had little visibility.

How did you select this vendor?

We were previously aware of Web Bureau through various business connections & reputation in the market. We engaged with 5 digital agencies before making our selection. Selection criteria was based on experience, awards, reputation, and results for previous clients. Cost was a factor – but quality and results are more important to us.

Describe the project in detail.

Simply Telecom tasked Web Bureau to drive growth into our existing sales strategy. In particular, we wanted to ensure our new offering in VOIP & Business Mobile services were getting traction from major UK and Irish cities (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin, etc) Web Bureau managed to achieve this from PPC, SEO and Social Media Advertising. Mainly Facebook & Instagram.

What was the team composition?

Given the scale of Web Bureau (team size of circa 40) they were able to deploy a team to suit of campaign. The Digital Marketing Manager worked with us to understand our goals and define the strategy. We also had direct contact with specialists in each field – Paid Search, SEO & Social Media Advertising. Along the way, some of Web Bureau’s Creative team also contributed with campaign artwork and website design.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

  • Websites visits increased considerably.
  • Incoming leads from each of the digital channels also increased significantly.
  • Traffic & enquiries from our target regions all surpassed our expectation.
  • We monitor ROI for the campaign and are pleased to say that the investment was greatly outweighed by the return.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Project Management and general comms from Web Bureau were all good. We were appointed with a suitable Digital Marketing Manager along with 2 of his team working on our campaign. As well as the weekly communication, we also got presented with new ideas to help grow our business along the way.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Web Bureau have an impressive breadth of knowledge in all things digital marketing. They were also able to help advise on website improvements in order to help conversion & lead generation.

One factor that helped us settle on selecting Web Bureau was there awareness of the commercial impact of the campaign. Other agencies we have spoken to talk about reach, engagement etc but seemed to miss the most important part – the commercial results. Web Bureau understood this from the get go.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have to say that are really pleased with the relationship & activity to date. We would be happy to recommend Web Bureau to other companies wanting to boost their digital marketing activity or online presence.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were experiencing a fair amount of success, noticing high levels of engagement following their work. It’s been tough to judge since the outbreak of COVID-19, but up until then, we could tell Web Bureau’s strategies were quite effective.

How did Web Bureau perform from a project management standpoint?

Web Bureau performed very well. The team was always available when we needed them, and they gave us great feedback and direction. We mostly communicated through email, and we had a couple of conference calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Both their diligence in the project and their delivery were impressive.

No, not really.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear and concise in what kind of product you need, and they’ll be able to give you very informed feedback. We knew exactly what we wanted and they were able to deliver perfectly.

After the landing pages were updated, we are starting to see a significant drive in conversions. UX experience has vastly improved and this is evident through our google analytic data.

No complaints. Caroline has been a great Account Manager, all queries- no matter how small, are dealt with promptly.

Transparency- we left an agency where communication was an issue, having open communication is extremely important as we are a small company with limited digital resources.

We saw significant improvement in the visitor metrics we had identified, along with significant improvement in turnover. This happened within a very short period of time, following our site's re-launch.

We needed to migrate over 40 legacy websites into a common domain—the site needed to allow for localization and optimize lead generation in each country. We wanted a content-driven solution that had zero impact on our legacy SEO efforts.

How did you select this vendor?

We had some experience working with them and were highly satisfied with their process, quality, and delivery. One of our main requirements was a good relationship. We have complicated requests and demanding timelines, so we needed an agency that was agile and easy to work with.

They designed, developed, configured, and launched a CMS for our new global website with a full frontend. The project began with discovery sessions, customer journey mapping, and refinement of the scope and output. Once we finalized the scope and goals, they created a project timeline with the various key stages of the project and deliverables, so everyone knew where they stood.

We received wireframes and began actual production, with weekly and daily updates. They provided project scoping and management, customer journey mapping, wireframe development, frontend design and coding, extensive development, consultancy, and SEO support.

What was the team composition?

The project team had seven people, including a project manager, a technical director, a CX and design lead, the main designer, a frontend coder, and one or two developers. The team scaled as timelines or requirements required.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We developed and launched the websites on time, which showed real benefits immediately. They required less management, but our SEO and lead generation increased. Our marketing team wasn't stressed since they knew the project was in safe hands. We now have a long-term relationship with The Web Bureau.

Their project management was the best we have received from any digital agency. We worked collaboratively and had Skype and phone calls every day.

There is very little that they could improve. It was a good experience despite a stressful situation.
