Do you have any statistics, metrics, or general feedback to show the success of the project?
It's a relatively simple app, but we get a lot of engagement out of it. It automates a lot of volunteer sign-ups, which used to be done manually.
Actually, I think our membership has increased. I had a very positive relationship. Prior to the app, we were doing the actual summer school program manually.
People used to ignore the newsletter that we would send out, but they don’t ignore our app. We've gotten great feedback from parents, and feel confident saying it's played a role in increasing our fundraising efforts by $15,000 year-over-year, just by virtue of the increased engagement with parents the app brings us.
Is there anything unique about them that really makes them stand out, compared to other companies?
They seemed to know what we wanted. It was kind of intuitive, we didn’t have to explain every step along the way. They understood what we wanted to do, and then figured out the best to make it happen. I think that intuition is probably the best part of their company.
Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?
It would have been nice to have more graphics in the app.
