Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a health and wellness yoga therapy company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Volume99?
We’re a new company, so we needed help with digital marketing, increasing our audience, and converting clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Volume99 has been running our social media. They create posts and stories for Instagram and Facebook. They usually put the content on a spreadsheet so that I can see, edit, and approve it before they post it.
They’ve worked on our social media following and engagement, too. Even though it wasn’t part of the initial contract, Volume99 has also helped with a little bit of SEO. They’ve also worked on our website to make it a bit more visible. They make language tweaks and let me know what areas I need to be more clear on what I do and what I want people to see.
What is the team composition?
I’m in direct contact with three of their teammates, but I’m pretty sure there are at least two others.
How did you come to work with Volume99?
I found them through Upwork. I spoke with five different people, and Volume99 was the one I felt the most comfortable with.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $1,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2021, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m a bit too old to understand how social media works, but there has been a huge difference as far as content. Before, I was posting once every few months, and they’ve been posting five times a week. My follower count has doubled in two months, and the interaction has grown up to 300%-400%.
How did Volume99 perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve communicated through WhatsApp, which is great and works well for me. All of our content is on Google Docs. We put any ideas or links that are useful to their designs on a spreadsheet. At least three weeks in advance, we also put the content we’ll post in that spreadsheet so I can provide feedback.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What I do is a bit complicated, because it’s in the realm of yoga, so the obvious thing is to go with a more generic yoga content. However, it’s much more than that; it’s yoga for mental health. It's integrative medicine rather than fitness, so I've been quite anal about captions and wording in the content. Volume99 is very responsive and picks up fairly quickly. They went fast from posting content like “pose of the day” to “why you should use yoga to help with your anxiety”.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't have any complaints so far.
Any advice for potential customers?
Have a pretty clear idea of the message you want to share and what you want to achieve. This will save editing time.
