Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a CEO Partner at the Hudson Sterling Firm and we are a production company that assists independent filmmakers of color get their content packaged, financed, produced, and sold. We are also content acquisition and sales agents for distribution companies. We have the capability to get content distributed worldwide.

We hired Vlogbox to develop our app for Roku, AppleTV, Fire Stick, and Amazon.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals is to be come the number on channel in the world for all things independent. (Films, Series, Shorts, Documentaries, and Music)

Svetlana from Vlog Box reached out to us! She was extremely proactive and I know that it will pay off for both our company and Vlogbox.

We have content that we would like to provide an outlet for independent artists. So, we needed an app developed on behalf of our company so that our artists have a place to put their content.

What was the team composition?

We had a project manager Svetlana and she was amazing! She helped with ingestion and pretty much everything from A - Z.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

So far this has inspired a lot of great partnerships. We are waiting to see what our revenue looks like at the end of the fourth quarter this year.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our workflow was pretty seamless!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What's impressive is that the cost to us was zero. VlogBox is willing to take their costs on the back end. Also, we love that VlogBox is in charge of doing the reporting, ingestion, and the ad space placements. This is a dream! We have heard and continue to hear horror stories. VlogBox seems to be the very best in the business!

Are there any areas for improvement?

This experience actually revealed where our company needs to improve. The ingestion was really tough for us so we were really grateful for Svetlana's help with this.

The company has a large number of channels, which powers up our advertising capabilities.

Now, we use a wide range of channels covering multiple verticals, from kids content to cooking, that makes advertising even more targeted.

3-5 people: Business Development Manager, Account Manager, PR/Marketing department representatives.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

More impressions, clicks, installs. The viewers of each ad are highly relative.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was clear and friendly, and usually, we received all answers to our queries quickly.

Understanding our needs, desire to collaborate in order to satisfy the customers’ needs first, rapid work.

Don’t have any issues to mention. I think they’re doing fine and will improve without one’s advice.

VlogBox developed a Roku channel, based on the content of my YouTube channel, and a channel on another platform is in the works

How did you select VlogBox and what were the deciding factors?

I was looking between several companies online, and I chose VlogBox because working with them did not require any initial investment on my side, and also because of the good interaction with their representative

Well, I do not know the details as they just took all videos from me with the data about the videos and delivered the final product

Most of the time I worked with a single person - Sr. Content Acquisition Manager, on couple of occasions I had interaction with a developer and a designer

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The channel is growing and it has positive feedback from the users.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

We communicated via email, the management style on their end was not visible to me, just the deliverables

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had good communication and impressive understanding.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Probably more careful review of the visual design, At some point we had to make some changes, but that was not an issue
