The Client asked for a simple and nonexpensive redesign of their current website. The focus was simplicity and providing a clear way to contact the client via the phone. Since the budget was tight and it was one of our first projects we decided to put in a little extra.

Impact

We managed to put in something extra since the client was one of the first ones we had. The design is simple and very direct offering the visitor all the information within the first two scrolls. With a simple design, responsiveness wasn't a problem, and data cost while browsing was kept to a minimum ensuring which resulted in the website placing in the top 1% when it comes to loading time.

With the SEO conducted properly, we noticed the traffic increased gradually over the first few months.

For what projects/services did your company hire Vivid Binaries GmbH?

PPRO recently acquired another company to expand our reach to Latin America. This was one of the reasons we needed a new, fresh website as the company was also going through a major rebranding process. Another reason was that the old website was very poorly written, the performance and design didn't correspond neither to then industry trends nor demands.

What were your goals for this project?

As a rapidly growing organisation PPRO needed a "face"- new, professional corporate website. With this project we wanted to put emphasis on the services we provide, who we are and how we function in a clearly structured, appealing, trendy yet straight forward way.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I personally came across their profile an a design award website. I reviewed what I could find about them on the internet, found some great reviews and decided to immediately get in touch with them.

I at once sent them a brief into the project and what would be needed most probably, as then we had no idea what the new website was going to look or feel like. Davor Sehovic, the CMO of Vivid Binaries responded to my email in a very timely manner and expressed enthusiasm on knowing more and working with us. Right off the bat, we realised that we are dealing with extremely professional, efficient and responsive organisation.

We went on with discussions of what is needed, what they can do, their tech stack and budget. The whole beginning of our cooperation was extremely positive, so it wasn't hard for us to choose Vivid Binaries from a wide range of agencies that we were in touch with.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

We started off with a small workshop. At that point we didn't know what we wanted and Vivid Binaries were basically the driving force of the project. They adapted to our demands in terms of some tech requirements(we wanted the website to be built on Wordpress, with a fully customised theme).

We gave them some ideas of how we imagine the structure of the website. Muris(CEO and co-founder) and Davor(CMO) were not short of suggestions. We altered some of the pages we used to have on the old website and came up with the pages that were going to be presented in the new environment. We gave Vivid Binaries a very short-period deadline notice for a "soft launch", the first phase, so to say.

They showed exceptional dedication, communication, project management and development skills. As our company was still in the process of acquiring another entity, most of the input that was needed from us was provided to Vivid Binaries quite late, but they were extremely patient and managed to deliver on time with flawless quality of work.

They provided us with software development, project management and design services. With every suggestion of design patterns they outdid themselves and were very keen on our feedback and adaptation of offers to our liking. In the end, they presented us with an amazingly-performing, fast, dynamic, trendy website that is very easy to use from the admin interface as well.

Vivid Binaries fully adapted the Wordpress admin interface to be as easy to use and understand as possible, so even someone with zero to none technical knowledge, can make changes to the website without a need of any guidance. They also took care of the server set up for us and the server maintenance.

What was the team composition?

The team consisted of two people that we were in touch with. The project management was done by Davor and the development was done by Muris. We were in touch with Davor most of the time, but Muris was heavily involved in any conversation that concerned the project. At some point we needed an input from a designer for an animation and Vivid Binaries were able to suggest assistance on that as well.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The new website has affected our business in many ways. Now we have the opportunity to present ourselves in a professional way that we lacked before. Now every type of customer that desires to work with us has the opportunity to easily find information that concerns only them, thanks to intuitive and dynamic user journey patterns that Davor and Muris have developed for us. Also, our new hires always mention how impressed they are with our new website and all of them mention that now they understand what we do and who we are.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was one of the best aspects of working with Vivid Binaries. Always on time, always quick to respond and deliver. We had full transparency on what is done, what was and will be done. It was impressively productive and efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I can't really choose just one thing that impressed us the most. I would say quality of work, pro-activeness and effectiveness.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is always room for improvement for any kind of company or employee, but right now I cannot think of one thing that I wish was different in cooperation with Vivid Binaries.

What were your goals for this project?

The website needed to feature our organization’s land property data. To do so, it had to connect to our database and show our internal information along with a representation of photogrammetry imagery and cadastral vector imagery.

How did you select this vendor?

One of the co-founders of Vivid Binaries GmbH is a former employee of our organization. His knowledge of our database structure was instrumental in the development process.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Creating the website proved to be the most natural part of this development. It was more demanding, to our surprise, to connect the site to our existing database and have our data represented accurately. Still, their team managed that element with relative ease, as well. In short, they wrote a script that helped merge remote cadastral databases to a central location; they developed tests to check overlapping orthophoto images; and they established Web Map Services (WMS), Web Feature Services (WFS), and Web Coverage Services (WCS) for geodata distribution.

What was the team composition?

We worked alongside a project manager, two backend developers, and one frontend developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project is the first of its kind in our country, and it has made all land property data available and transparent to the general public. Because of the public’s increased access, we have seen a decreased demand for data from our office. Previously, all requests were printed separately for each inquiry. We are now able to offer better service to our citizens while reducing our employees’ workload.

We had a well-structured, communicative environment for developers and process owners to share updates. We felt like we had full control of the project, and they were accommodating at any moment throughout the process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by their familiarity with spatial data and databases and their ability to convey information on the web. It made our job a lot easier not to have to explain that structure. We also appreciated the energy they brought to the project. It was a breath of fresh air to have some creativity involved with a government project for once.
