A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founding partner of a small insights consultancy called Old Salt Insights Consulting.
What challenge were you trying to address with VisibleMR?
They’ve been a long-term partner of mine at several previous companies. They help with bringing data to life visually. They help with visual storytelling.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’ve helped us with a bunch of different things, including creating a three-page infographic every other week to tell the stories of American business owners. This has run throughout the pandemic. They’ve also done video production, graphics animation, and developing external presentation decks for clients.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with the founder and lead video producer.
How did you come to work with VisibleMR?
I’ve known the owner for a very, very long time, and I don’t think there are any comparisons out there. What they’re doing is unique.
How much have you invested with them?
We pay ad-hoc by project. In total, we’ve spent north of $35,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since April 2020, from the first month we started the company.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
For me, they give me something I don’t have to do anything with. Everything they deliver is client-ready. I measure success in our ability to get things done on time. They work within the confines of whatever we need. The end result is fully polished and ready to push out the door.
How did VisibleMR perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re outstanding. They communicate what’s reasonable and still push to beat it. They have no problem asking questions along the way to make sure whatever you get is final. They never shy away from implementing edits. They’re outstanding. We communicate over email, phone calls, and Vimeo.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their vision stands out. Research is dreadfully boring, and, as an ex-journalist, I take the term “storytelling” very seriously. They’re adept at translating boring percentages into something engaging. And that’s not an easy task.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I keep people around for a reason, and VisibleMR has given me nothing to say here.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You don’t have to have a vision going in. Give them the room to play. This will lead to surprises in the ideas they bring forward. Don’t be overly structured going in. Give them the space to do what they can do.
The client praises them for the polished nature of their deliverables, which removes the need to edit them before pushing to end-users. VisibleMR maintains communication throughout task development. Future clients will encounter a professional, dedicated partner that takes pride in their work.
