We have hired Visartech twice. The time was a few years ago for a custom game development feature for our financial application. We recently needed additional resources for the front-end to code our prototype of our next version. Now we are expanding the engagement to add a back-end resource as well.

The FE and BE resource work with our employees as part of our team. Their Project Manager makes sure that the communication is seamless. We have been pleased that the team integration took very little time and works really well.

We have worked with them in the past and maintained contact with them over time, including visiting their offices in Kyiv several times. We have developed a good working relationship over time.

We had fully designed wireframes and wanted them coded into a clickable prototype. The game development was done using on specifications provided to them based on our patented methodology, so it was unique.

They have delivered on time with each timeframe that was set. They also communicate constantly which makes the time management even easier.

We communicate constantly, mostly on Slack and some Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The professional and experienced way in which they manage their own resources as well as manage our relationship. Very interactive, not mechanical.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everyone can improve but nothing meaningful/material that I would note here.

I’m the CEO of QZee, a platform that tackles issues surrounding cancellations and no-shows, which are a multi-industry problem. It tends to hit the hospitality sector the hardest. Given that, our app is designed with a unique combination of features that improve booking systems. We’ve integrated virtual queues into it, making it a more social social system. It also gives customers more in-house marketing opportunities. Overall, the platform helps businesses capitalize on the data that we gather for both businesses and end users using an AI learning mechanism.

What challenge were you trying to address with Visartech Inc.?

We wanted them to do the frontend of the socializing feature of our app. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the project by thinking about the problems we needed to solve. First off, we had a smart shopping experience where we figured out which areas of our physical premises could be improved and what problems could be solved. Then, we went into developing the virtual queue feature, which was our main focus.

However, as we looked into the problems of cancellations and last-minute no-shows, we decided to tailor our virtual queue approach to those problems. Ultimately, Visartech helped us create a highly advanced booking system to truly target those issues, which led to the creation of QZee and the ideas behind it. 

At present, we’re still working with them as our outsourced development team.

We work with eight people from their team. Slava (CEO) works with us directly for project management.

We found Visartech through LinkedIn via another person who worked for one of their partner companies. We initially engaged with that partner and then transferred over to Visartech.

We’ve invested around $39,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started around April 2021, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Visartech is truly professional, and it feels great to work alongside them. Everything is documented, checked, and quoted fairly. Overall, we feel great working with somebody that knows what they’re doing in their industry. They’re solid and respectable in everything that they do. 

How did Visartech Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

We truly like working with Slava, and he’s a great project manager. He communicates clearly. More importantly, he’s fair; he wants the best for our project. Overall, it’s great to work with someone of his caliber on this project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication and professionalism stand out. They document everything, and their communication is great. On top of that, they’ve looked for other opportunities to help us, especially when funding becomes tight. Simply put, they want to make this project work, and that makes them stand out from other software companies that only want to take an invoice. Those companies get things done, but then it’s over. By contrast, Visartech takes a genuine interest in the project, making it great to work with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go in with a clear head and know what you want. If you have a good plan, Visartech can work with you to enhance it. However, don’t expect them to know your full idea. You yourself must have a clear understanding of what you want as you go into the project.

We wanted to incorporate AR with a promotional envelope our company was working on. As well as developing an app for our company.

We connected with Visartech through LinkedIn. We checked out their portfolio and were impressed with their work, so we scheduled a virtual meeting with them.

After meeting with their team and discussing our project, we felt confident that they were going to be able to achieve the results we were looking for.

They created an app for our company on both the App Store and Google Play. They were able to take the image of a promotional envelope we created and bring that image to life using Augmented Reality.

They also included a soundtrack for the AR video to give it more life!

A project manager was our main point of contact, but there were also multiple others who worked on the project. Including graphics people, sound people, and app developers.

We are getting great feedback on this project and people are very impressed with the AR video quality. After receiving the feedback we are getting we will most likely do more with Visartech.

They had great communication throughout the entire project and were available for virtual calls, phone calls, and via email. Whatever we requested they were quick to respond and easy to work with.

We were most impressed with their level of skill and knowledge in their fields. We were also very pleased with their ability to work within our budget.

Not really.

After I gave them a variety of project requirements and medical guidance, Visartech Inc. developed the software platform from scratch. They handled the project from start to finish, incorporating all of the therapeutic tasks needed for medical professionals to work with their patients.

At various points of the project, we’ve had about 7–8 teammates involved. This has included the executive team, developers, QA specialists, project managers, and technical artists. I have one main point of contact and have worked directly with two developers throughout the whole project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their work, integrity, and capacity to understand quite complex medical concepts are all exceptional. Visartech Inc. has a high degree of intelligence, and they are able to catch onto complicated concepts. They’ve been able to do anything I've asked of them, even helping me to understand the development lifecycle of each stage of the project.

How did Visartech Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management skills have been excellent. In addition to their project management tools, we use Slack. We also use Jira to keep track of what’s in development and what’s in QA, as well as the general progress of the project. They’ve imposed some order on my goals by helping me frame a scope and dividing it into manageable chunks.

From a leadership standpoint, they helped me understand how the development process works. I have nothing but positive comments about how they communicate and how they solicit the medical information they need to do the work. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by their attitude. I’ve worked with other developers in my past who didn’t have a good attitude which got in the way of communication. The teammates at Visartech Inc., who are the brightest I’ve worked with by a wide margin, are the kindest, most humble individuals.

They’re always willing to listen and never make me feel like I can’t ask a question. Setting aside their expertise, they also develop a positive rapport with people who aren’t computer experts.

Are there any areas they could improve?

So far, I can’t think of anything that I could improve. When I look back on the project so far and examine everything that went wrong, I see that Visartech Inc. had actually advised me against making those decisions. If there’s been anything negative or anything that didn’t work out as anticipated, it was usually because of me.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to their encouragements to plan and go through their process of thinking about a project and doing it in phases. That’s one thing that I didn’t do. If I had known the importance of setting a scope of what I wanted to achieve, the development timeline would’ve been much shorter than it has been. 

So, follow their instructions on the preparation work that needs to be done to really understand the scope of the project.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Visartech delivered a full working, game on time and budget. Our game was featured a few times on the google play store which speaks for their quality. The codebase is very clean and well organized. It made it possible to make small changes and updates on our own.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

With our weekly calls and prototypes, we were always aligned with them and had a chance to follow the projects state. Once a potential problem showed up, they recognised it early enough to prevent harming our schedule to release our game on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their skills! They are great developers with amazing tech-knowledge, an eye for details, and a very pleasant way to communicate.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is nothing what we were not happy about.

I'm the VP of development and user experience of SportTrak LLC. We partner with another company, SkyGolf, to make a golf launch monitor product. SkyGolf handles the sales and marketing, and we’re responsible for supplying the hardware and software for the product.

We reached out to Visartech Inc. when we were initially building the product to help us develop the software application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Visartech Inc. initially developed the software application based off of existing code. They've actually rewritten everything from scratch over the last four years. The biggest aspect is that the software application is able to interface with the hardware, which takes pictures of the golf ball. They spend a lot of time minimizing the delay between when a user hits a shot and when the golf ball flies in the app.

The other key feature is making the software application able to work cross-platform. They ended up recommending and using Unity game platform so that the same application with the same features is available on PC, iOS, and Android. 

What is the team composition? 

My primary contact is our project manager. I also work with two developers, a QA resource, and a business analyst who handles all the documentation. 

How did you come to work with Visartech Inc.? 

We met Visartech Inc. through a mutual friend. We had a meeting with their CEO and saw he was passionate and energetic. We hit it off from the start because he’s forward-thinking about technology.

Work began around January 2015 and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In conjunction with Visartech Inc., we continue to do 6–8 releases every year. Their work is solid so we don't have to worry about bugs or crashes. In particular, they were fantastic about marrying the software and hardware together.

Users pay $100 per year for a subscription to use the app. We regularly monitor an online golf technology forum. We see rave reviews across the board about the application. Users appreciate how quick and responsive we are in releasing new updates so it doesn't get stale. Out of all the golf simulation companies, we’re considered by far the most active in terms of software releases. 

How did Visartech Inc. perform from a project management standpoint? 

Their team is as good as it gets. I started mainly communicating with the project manager. As we got familiar with each other as partners, I now interact directly with the developers in addition to a weekly call with the project manager. We use Jira to track sprints and releases. We also use it on a monthly basis to track reporting, hours spent, and resource allocation. A lot of their team is based in Ukraine. They're so flexible in accommodating our team, even if it means scheduling meetings during their night.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Critical thinking and excellent communication make them stand out from other developers.

No, not at this time.

Don’t be scared to push them. Visartech Inc. always burns the candle at both ends when required. They’ll find a way to add resources or work late to make sure that it gets done.

I got in contact with VISARTECH via recommendation of a customer of mine. The responsiveness was just great to experience. Cost and hourly rates are very competitive.
