Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am an IT manager at an electrical manufacturing company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Virtuas?

While we have a small team working on helpdesk support, I contacted Virtuas to support the backend of our servers and virtual environment.  

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, they helped us overhaul our system by migrating information to our new hardware and updating our VMware.

Once everything was up to date, they took on the role of monitoring all of our servers and virtual environment. For example, if a switch fails or goes down, they let us know and provide a brief explanation, i.e. a power outage. Occasionally, they make suggestions and we discuss whether or not we should implement any changes.

What is the team composition?

The project has been supported by three people, including Ritesh (Founder & President, Virtuas), Wei-Ming (System Administrator, Virtuas), and Joey (IT Consultant, Virtuas).

How did you come to work with Virtuas?

I interviewed several vendors, but I thought that Virtuas’ attitude and workflow was really compatible with ours. Our personalities meshed well, and it has led to a great engagement.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend approximately, $10,000 per month with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2018 and our work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’m happy with the results of our engagement. We seriously consider the team’s suggestions when they offer advice because they are very professional.

How did Virtuas perform from a project management standpoint?

They respond quickly through email. Occasionally, we have meetings and they provide updates or propose changes.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re straightforward and easygoing. Unlike other companies, they tell us what we need to know and don’t try to give us the runaround.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they need to improve on.
