On the SEO side, we wanted to increase our website's organic exposure through potential keywords. VirrgoTech was deployed to perform market and competitor research and provide consultation on the right course of action for SEO.

They performed the research, prepared a set of potential keywords to rank, improved our websites front end/SEO elements, and provided us with a complete strategy for on-going marketing, that included creating content, links, and promoting our site on social channels.

The other facet of our collaborating was advertising with Google, Facebook, and Instagram. This required them to set up our campaigns and then manage them for us on these channels (on an on-going basis).

I'm not exactly sure, but there could be many guys working in the background.

Our point of contact was one person -- our project manager -- who more of a liaison between our us and their production team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our organic traffic increased by 45% in the span of 6 months and our ROI from our paid campaigns also more than doubled in course of the same period. Compared to past metrics and results, these are actually very good numbers.

They had cutting edge tools for project management and reporting. No problem with that at all!

We are also highly satisfied with the way they communicate and keep us posted on key deliverables and project outcomes.

They handled the project in three phases: In the initial phase, they guided us through how the entire project was supposed to be implemented. None of our team members at EAST20th are tech-savvy but, fortunately, we never faced any problem since our agency took control of everything and implemented the project the way we wanted.

I think it's important for any vendor to walk the talk and let their work speak for itself. We found VirrgoTech truly helpful and genuine in that sense.

I would only say that they stay true to their business philosophy and keep delivering great work. I have no specific comment to add, but it would be nice to see them grow and become the quality vendor they are aspiring for.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Some of the information regarding the robot system is confidential. There were some mobile access issues, with clients saying the sites weren’t compatible with their mobile devices. Virrgo Tech addressed these issues and continue to offer better layouts and templates to improve these issues.

How did Virrgo Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

LiveChat and email are the primary forms of communication. We have occasional calls. They provide reports and are specific with their requirements, as well. It’s been very good. They accomplished part of the project in a shorter time than expected.

They are professional and flexible and treat clients well. We’re satisfied with their service as they provide what we’re looking for.

In the beginning, their technical department had difficulty understanding what we wanted. Once they brought in different people who were able to grasp the ask, they satisfied us.

I’m a project manager for an engineering service provider that operates across all of Pakistan. I’m also in charge of overseeing sales. We provide engineering and installation services.

What challenge were you trying to address with VirrgoTech?

We initially hired their services for digital marketing, and the collaboration expanded from there.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

VirrgoTech set up our marketing campaigns for traditional mediums like TV commercials. They initially configured on-page elements and fixed issues, and also provided a detailed plan of action for SEO. We’ve been using them for SEO services for about three months and they’ve helped us solve all SEO-related issues on the website. We later worked with them to rebuild it entirely from the ground up, including content. This part of the project is in progress.

Additionally, they provided some branding services, including brochure design, sales presentations, and so on. They requested a set of keywords from us initially, in order to optimize the current copy of the website. They started the SEO process at the very beginning of our collaboration, and keyword research was part of the plan.

VirrgoTech also set up analytics webmaster functionalities for us, carrying out a link building strategy for our website. We simply asked them to get our website on the first page of Google results, locally and maybe globally as well. We understand that it’s not going to happen in just 2–3 months, but they should be able to bring our main keywords to the first page of Google within 6–7 months. We haven’t specified our PPC advertising budget yet, but we’re looking to incorporate that in the future.

We have a project manager as the main point of contact, who updates us on every aspect of the project. If we have a concern about the project or quality of work, we can also go to some higher-management contacts. On a regular basis, we have one person managing the project, so we don’t know how many people are working in the backend.

We had a face-to-face meeting with them, and they seemed to be good at what they were doing. We had a couple of other options, but VirrgoTech really convinced us. We didn’t have a lot of local or nearby options when it came to branding and marketing services in the online domain. We had a few conversations with VirrgoTech and met their team in person. There, we decided to give them a shot.

We started working with VirrgoTech in May or June 2019. The marketing is an ongoing service, and we wouldn’t like to switch agencies. We’re satisfied with their performance and we plan to continue the collaboration. They’re continuing to work on our SEO and they’re in the process of designing a website. Some other things may come in the future as well.

I can’t be too specific about quantitative results, but we have seen a positive impact resulting from their services. We’re getting more calls now, whereas before, we weren’t getting any prospects from our digital presence. Although it’s not too frequent, we’re also getting some traction on the website in terms of leads and prospects. Hopefully, it will improve as we move forward. 

How did VirrgoTech perform from a project management standpoint?

VirrgoTech is really good in this sense. They have a systematic process in place for communication, timelines, and updates. It’s not like we’re working with 10 people and getting confused as to where our project is heading. Their project manager gets back to us in a timely manner on each and every aspect of the project, and if we have any feedback or additional requests, we can send them a question and they’ll quickly prioritize and start working on it. We use Asana to track the work. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a good service provider compared to some of the agencies we’ve worked within the past when it comes to combined expertise. If they were focused on a single area, perhaps they wouldn’t have appealed to us that much. Since they’re able to handle different aspects of the project, including marketing, branding, web design, development, and even consultation, VirrgoTech offers a comprehensive advantage. They’ve even educated us on various aspects of SEO, including how PPC advertising works.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our management team feels that VirrgoTech could’ve suggested building the new website right from the get-go, instead of working on the old one. That’s not necessarily their fault, though. It’s partly our mistake as well. We didn’t have a very strong understanding of how things work in this space, so we didn’t suggest that they start with website development at the start. Later on, we realized that that wasn’t the website we wanted, and we needed to rebuild.

We are getting about 25 leads per day on the PPC front. Our cost has reduced a lot and the quality of our leads improved. We are also slowing improving in SEO and our organic traffic now makes good chunks of what we get on our site (though we are aware that this is a long term process).

We are also very happy with the quality of work we are getting on the content marketing and branding fronts. As we move forward, we hope VirrgoTech will help us build on these improvements.

It's very organized. We like the way things are brainstormed, planned, shared, worked on, and delivered. It really seems like a two-way process that, though a little inconvenient sometimes, works to our advantage.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

This company and the team that runs it really want to deliver great work. The level of commitment and effort that they invest in our project is atypical, in a good way. There is a tone of marketing companies out there but, as we experience, not many of them treat the actual work to be the most important factor in building strong business relationships.

They shared all the blueprints with us and we approved the design for them to go ahead and develop and launch the website.

For marketing, they tried to promote us on search engines using an optimization technique. They also set us up with pay-per-click (PPC) and promoted us on Google and social media. Finally, they wrote some internal content about our business and putting them on the web.
