Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CFO of Seiseidou America Inc., a health and skincare company.
What challenge were you trying to address with VideoFresh | Video Production Services?
We needed someone to help us with video production.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They produced about 20–24 videos which were mainly used for commercials, online ads, and product descriptions. They’ve outsourced models for us and even provided a list of modeling agencies we could choose from.
We have a creative and marketing team that collaborated with them on the conceptualization and scriptwriting, which they don’t normally do. I attended some of the video shoots, but my marketing was involved with them the entire time. We recently started another video project with them.
What is the team composition?
We’re mainly in contact with the CEO and sales director and during video shoots, there are around 15 people involved.
How did you come to work with VideoFresh | Video Production Services?
We reached out to a couple of video production companies we found on Google, and the CEO of VideoFresh was the first one I talked to — he was the most passionate and motivated compared to the other companies. He learned about our website and what we do even before the phone call, which surprised me.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $45,000 USD. They offer a flat rate of $6,500 a day, and you can make as many videos as you want. A 3-minute video usually takes about a day to complete, and that includes editing.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in February 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The videos were really professional and high quality which I didn’t expect based on their affordable pricing. We haven’t really launched the advertisements on our products, but we have seen some conversions and receive positive feedback on our website.
How did VideoFresh | Video Production Services perform from a project management standpoint?
They deliver earlier than the deadline and their communication is also really responsive — when I send a message, they immediately respond. We usually communicate via Slack and phone calls.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the president of a physical therapy and fitness company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Video Fresh?
We wanted someone to create our marketing videos. This includes filming home workout videos for an online program that we made.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Video Fresh is involved with conceptualizing, filming, and editing videos for our company.
We first discussed what we wanted to accomplish with the videos. They would then create and send a document that has all the details for us to approve. Once that’s finalized, we would set a date to film. Afterwhich they would do all the editing, and send me the first draft for me to give feedback on.
We’ve done a ton of different videos with Video Fresh. The most common type that we do, is a video featuring our clients sharing their success stories. Apart from that, they’ve also done cooking videos, workout videos, and even an introductory video for our physical therapy practice. These videos are published on our website and our social media accounts like Instagram and Facebook. We also use them as marketing tools and send them to people through email.
What is the team composition?
I mainly work with Rob (President), but I also worked with about 10–15 different people from their company.
How did you come to work with Video Fresh?
I was referred to them through word of mouth, and was impressed with some of the work they had done in the past.
How much have you invested with them?
I believe we’ve invested somewhere between $25,000–$35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We did the first project in April 2016, and we've continued our partnership since then.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We average a 3:1 ratio on our ROI (return on investment) so their stuff is no different. They are also extremely easy to work with—which is the reason why we kept the partnership with them for this long.
How did Video Fresh perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate through email, and I'm usually present during video shoots.
What did you find most impressive about them?
One thing that impresses me is how fast they work. They also have this unique ability to extract good stories from people. Rob knows exactly what he wants in a story, and is able to see the whole thing happen in his head. I think he has also trained his staff to be able to do that kind of thing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t really know. I think the biggest thing was always just making sure that the details are confirmed beforehand. I’ve talked to him about that in the past and he has been really understanding.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I think the best thing you can do is overprepare and know exactly what you want. The more information you give them, the better they’re going to be able to capture that on video.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the digital marketing director of Monrovia Plants. We’re a provider and manufacturer of landscape plants. We supply to independent garden centers and big box stores. We also do some direct-to-consumer e-commerce but that’s a small part of our business. We’re a premium, high-end brand of plants. In my role, I oversee all online efforts regarding user experience, digital advertising, email marketing, and video content.
What challenge were you trying to address with VideoFresh | Video Production Services?
We brought them on for video production services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They delivered 12 vignettes that were a part of the project. It was an interesting set of videos because there were three different types of content we assigned to them. The videos were all in the same style of interviewing different parts of our organization from craftsmen, internal team members, retailers, to gardening designers.

Our engagement was from January–December 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The feedback has been overwhelmingly great. There are a lot of intricacies and details about timing and when the plants are at their best. VideoFresh took all of those things into consideration and quickly learned what was acceptable and unacceptable in terms of visuals. The quality of the videos turned out great. We’ve received great online feedback from our consumers and retail partners.
The consumer-driven pieces turned out really well. We’ve used them in social media and organic advertising. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive about the beauty, quality, and overall message.
How did VideoFresh | Video Production Services perform from a project management standpoint?
Most of our communication was face-to-face during production shoots, over the phone, or by email. We did revisions as rounds of pieces came in. They were open to hearing feedback about certain shots that weren’t meeting expectations. Their team was willing to find additional B-roll or other footage they’d captured to replace something we thought didn’t encapsulate the plant well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I really appreciate their willingness to bring ideas to us. They reach out to us with fresh ideas about content they see trending that may be relevant to us. Their team brought the idea of having these vignettes and certain important pieces of the funnel. All-in-all, they executed everything really well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The filming days were spread out for different individuals who were being interviewed. Some feedback didn’t always make it from one video shoot to the other. I’d recommend they capture all on-shoot feedback and make sure it applies across the board for all videos.
The internal stakeholders are highly impressed with the quality of their deliverables, considering the cost-effectiveness of their services. VideoFresh | Video Production Services is highly collaborative, and the videos are always met with positive feedback from external stakeholders.
