I am a veteran executive at a financial services firm here in downtown Los Angeles.

For what projects/services did your company hire VezTek USA?

My partners and I dreamed of a lifestyle app back in 2017. We were refereed to VezTek by one of our investors who had worked with VezTek in the past for other projects and had had a great experience.

What were your goals for this project?

We had a fairly decent understanding of the core features we wanted to provide in this app. We wanted to work with a development partner that would first help us further refine the idea and provide guidance and advice for better user experience, and then develop the app and launch it in the iOS and Android app stores.

How did you select this vendor?

VezTek team impressed me during our first meeting where they eloquently laid out the entire plan for the project. They insisted that we start with a product discovery phase and prototyping before writing the code.

It's a lifestyle app that we launched for both iOS and Android.

What was the team composition?

A firm-partner level executive oversaw the entire project. A Product Lead spearheaded documenting the requirements. A Delivery Manager was responsible for deliverable features sets bi-weekly. I am not sure of the exact number of the following. iOS Swift developer, Android Developer, UX Designer, UI Designer, UX Copy Writer, Quality Assurance

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered the apps without any major changes to the cost and delivery dates. Our users have been using the app for over a year now; we have heard lots of good things about the design, user experience, and responsiveness of the app for which the credit goes to the VezTek team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They implemented an effective workflow between our two teams.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

This is not the kind of dev. shop that would take your money, and then show up months later with a complete mobile app --- that may or may not be what you might have expected. If you are considering working with VezTek, get ready for lots of WebEx meetings and phone/text communication; something we learned to appreciate over the duration of our iOS and Android apps development project with VezTek.

We hired VezTek to design and develop an extensive mobile platform for our tech startup in the executive search industry. The deliverables included all aspects of launching iOS and Android apps as well as a web based admin. panel.

How did you select this vendor?

Extensive research. Several exploratory meetings with about half a dozen mobile apps development companies. Review of their previous projects. References check.

Describe the project in detail.

The project involved the design and development of a new mobile platform from scratch. We started with a series of product discovery meetings to write up the functional requirements. Their product analysts were instrumental in helping complete this crucial phase. Once we had the agreed upon requirements, the developers started developing. From that point forward, we met once every 2 week to review the work completed in the preceding two weeks, and to conduct a final review of the requirements for the following two weeks. They also engaged a UX designer from very early on. The UX and UI designers worked closely with us and the development team in producing visually compelling and user friendly designs.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was completed on budget and on time. We didn't experience any major issues after the app's rollout.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow involved constant communication between our two teams via in person and online meetings, phone and text with the product team, and documentation ... lots and lots of documentation.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Shout out to Ted (Sales Engineer, VezTek USA) and his colleague Amanda for taking the time to understand our executive-search business and writing up the product requirements. By the time they and us together finished the 6-weeks App Discovery phase we knew exactly what we were going to get at the end of the project. As an added bonus, they forced us to take a closer look at how we've been doing things for years; that resulted in few opportunities for improvement. Thank You!
