Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m founder and CEO of service of ideas and goods for interior design
For what projects/services did your company hire Verter.Digital?
We start with Verter.Digital in late summer 2020 with the digital check-up of my startup. We were facing a couple of challenges at that time including:
- the core of our e-commerce project was built on the external platform for marketplaces, but the development
-speed of requested features both as cost became ineffective
- our sales in existing business model didn’t meet expectations
- our team was not aliened well so I wanted to hire some consult to built agile
-sprint based process and speed up all process
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We agreed rather quickly, just after Anatoly Vovnuk (CEO, and Visioner of Verter.Digital) presented their Digital Check-UP approach which covers both business and tech audit of start-up company. Verter team demonstrated the deep marketspace business background both as understanding of our tech and team pains.
They didn’t offer any magic pills but trusted deep cooperation with our team to reintegrate us, help migrate to the new independent dev.platfrom and supervise operations. We separately ordered the business-model check-up and basic strategy service from Verter too. Trust and deep-dive approach, both as joined tech and business-consulting competence we got from Verter.Digital were the key factors why we decided to go with them.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We started with digital check-up which covered both tech issues and business-model, sales audit, customer journey in one pack. Then we worked on new business strategy. After we hired Verter team and outsourced them project management function, QA and some operations during the period of migration to new development environment and further development.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Depending on the period from 2 to 4 people depending on out needs. Project manager, supported us for the whole period, we also hired business analyst and QA for the number of tasks. And had regular steering meetings with Verter CEO and involved consults for different tasks.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Yes, sure. On the start we had problems with the product, team and technology we used for marketplace.
During our cooperation with Verter we reintegrated our team, tested the couple of business-hypothesis and selected the one, adopted our internal processes to the new vision, implemented CRM and focused all our marketing, sales, operations to scale as fast as possible. We also now have development inhouse unlike 100% dependence on external platform developers on the start.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The process is absolutely perfect. We treated Verter team as if they were our extension. Verter people deeply understood our needs and core of the project and delivered both tech and project management. From time to time we received business level recommendations which were not technically part of our contract, but came just on time and helped much.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Usually when you come to developers’ company, they talk technology language and focus on product, features and APIs. They might ask for CJM of and docs for UX. But Verter where the only who offered joined business-model analysis, team supervising, deep technology marketplace background. In fact we got all need from one hands with fantastic level of quality and deep trusted approach to our business.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We’d be happy to fully outsource our development to their team, but they convinced us to keep at least the part of development inside to accumulate product knowledge. It makes sense but eats resources we wanted to focus on new challenges.
During the engagement, the company has tested business hypothesis, adopted internal processes, and implemented CRM to scale the business in speed. Verter.Digital understands the project's needs and helps the company with high-level recommendations. Overall, they blend well with the internal team.
