We hired Venthio to rebrand our company. They also designed and developed our website.

Venthio initially did discovery sessions with my team and had calls with each individual. From there, we went through the design phase. They submitted three options, from which I picked one. Their team and I tweaked the chosen design as the project progressed. Moreover, the team created our logo, messaging, color scheme, values, and mission statement. 

For features and functionality, end users could use two screens in terms of our website: one to apply and one to request workers. The team worked on developing these two screens for us.

I worked with four teammates from Venthio throughout the process. There could be more resources working behind the scenes, however.

The project lasted from January–June 2023.

Their branding services were impressive. The team’s creativity stood out in terms of our logo, mission statement, values, and brand messaging.

We started with a discovery phase where Venthio spoke to multiple individuals on our team. They submitted three designs, and we ultimately chose one and tweaked it as we went along.

We’ve seen an increase in brand awareness and user engagement. Overall, we’ve been extremely happy with the quality of work Venthio provided.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were most impressed with Venthio’s branding and the creativity they brought to that piece of the project.

I’m the founder and CEO of Thinkpiece; we’re a B2B market research company focusing on quality research for technology, healthcare, and financial organizations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Venthio?

Our brand was not attracting interest, and our marketplace is particular, so we wanted to brand ourselves in a clear and compelling way to attract new clients. We hired Venthio to understand our potential clients and their mindset to develop a strategy for us moving forward.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a discovery phase where they interviewed employees in our company, potential clients, and our competitors. Then we went into business recommendations, where Venthio guided us regarding structural and operational changes to the business that they thought would be beneficial. 

After this, we started a branding phase where they created a new brand, including visuals, voice, and point of view. Venthio worked with us to crystallize our mission and values as well. They also developed and implemented a new website from scratch.

We worked with three people, including Dan (Chief Creative Officer), a writer, and an individual who interviewed everyone and wrote our initial recommendations.

I found them on Clutch. We liked Dean when we met with him, and felt like Venthio could appreciate that our company had a unique offering. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between May–November 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Recently, we made a business development trip, and the messaging and branding that Venthio created for us stood out to the people we spoke to. We are confident that this new brand will be a big help to our company in the long run. 

The new site is beautiful, and Venthio did a wonderful job of making it user-friendly and interesting. The site is different from everyone else in our marketplace, and we’re very happy with the navigational features they implemented. 

How did Venthio perform from a project management standpoint?

They provided excellent project management, and we couldn’t speak more highly about it. Venthio was communicative, they kept to the schedule, and they were proactive. We typically communicated via email, phone calls, and Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their guidance and how they advised us to communicate our differentiator to the marketplace. They were also knowledgeable about the pieces of our business model that we should lean into and what we should stop focusing on to help clarify our direction as a company. 

We were impressed with how they combined strategic thinking with branding and passion. We appreciated that it felt like Venthio wanted us to succeed and grow, and they had the talent to brand our company in an appropriate and compelling way.

 Are there any areas they could improve?

We wish we were a bit more aware that Venthio only focused on branding, not advertising. However, they gave us recommendations and resources to move forward with advertising and gave us a lot of support.

Give them all the information that you can. Working with Venthio is a professional service, so they need to know everything about your company to do their job to the best of their ability.

To start the engagement, they were responsible for putting together our brand messaging and positioning while also building our brand look and feel. Several weeks into the project, we found out that there was another company using our desired name. We expanded the scope of our engagement with them to include renaming our company. After this, we also had them build our marketing website pages and implement our branding materials into our UX and UI.

Building a company from the ground up requires a lot of attention to detail and swift timelines. They were able to produce a best-in-class look and feel for our brand and a high-quality brand strategy in a short period of time under a high level of pressure. This output met our needs exactly.

Venthio came up with some different ideas that were really outside of the box. I don’t have metrics on the impact of their work. However, we now have new and different ideas that we can start implementing.

How did Venthio perform from a project management standpoint?

Venthio’s project management was fantastic. They always met deadlines and had things done when they said they would be done — all their deliverables had top-notch quality. We communicated via email, text, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their services distinguishes Venthio from other companies. They’re geniuses when it comes to branding.

I can’t think of anything they could improve on — it all went super well.

Don’t restrict Venthio too much. They’re very creative, so allow them to do the creative thinking — it’s what they do best.

I’m the president of JBI Interiors LLC. We’re a family business that designs, engineers, builds, and installs interiors for quick-service restaurants, high-end restaurants, hospitals, hotels, educational facilities, medical facilities, and more.

We have operations on the west coast and the east coast, with multiple factories where we can engineer and produce interiors to the same exact specifications, which differentiates us in the marketplace.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Venthio?

We were looking to reimagine our brand and communicate with our customers and prospects about what we are and who we are. We were also looking to refresh our mission and vision statements. Another goal was to reword our core values and make them part of our presentation at our facilities, in the form of a branding wall, in our presentations to customers, and then on our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the process by creating a timeline for Venthio to get to know our executive leadership team and our owners, which is a group of 10 individuals. Venthio came in and ran meetings, getting us to talk about our experiences, ourselves, our customers, and what was important to us. Through that process, we gained more clarity on the details of our core values and where we wanted to head. Venthio also interviewed some of our customers and prospects to gain direct feedback, which they then implemented into the way we portray ourselves.

Moving forward, they developed content that we could use in marketing pieces, as well as developed our new presentation to prospects. This included setting up a model for us so that, depending on who we were marketing to — a hospitality group, a restaurant group, etc. — we would have an optimized template.

Venthio collaborated with our internal IT department to work through the different options for our website and presentation formats. They also did photography, including aerial shots, for print delivery and our website.

What is the team composition?

Dean (Chief Creative Officer) and John (Strategic Advisor) were both very involved. Dean was active in crafting the wording of our core values and in the website creation. John led a lot of the discussions with our team.

How did you come to work with Venthio?

I have a business network, and we also looked to the internet for someone who could help us review our branding. We found Venthio online and considered them alongside a couple of other vendors that we found. Dean came in, and we immediately felt comfortable with him. He was very approachable and easy to speak with; they seemed to be a great fit for the style of our leadership team as well. Dean, specifically, was very good at word-smithing and coming up with a way for us to talk about ourselves.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started with them around August 2019, and the core project, which included the website, finished in the early Spring of 2020 right before COVID-19 hit.

Right now, we’re looking at their video services that we may need to tell our story.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Because we have a long cycle time to pick up a new client — our average project lasts 6–9 months for us — clients test us before they commit to working with us. Our website, wording, presentation templates, and wording have shortened this process of new client acquisition from one year down to 90–120 days. We’re able to build trust with prospects faster than we used to.

A couple of our prospects and clients — one in particular, a large client — said that the quality of our culture as portrayed by the website made them want to work with us. That didn’t happen with our prior website. The same things happen with our presentations now as well. The tangible results are that we’ve earned more new business as a result.

How did Venthio perform from a project management standpoint?

We started out by following their process pretty strictly since our company hadn’t gone through a rebranding exercise, but it became more collaborative as grew comfortable with the project.

Both Dean and John were very good communicators. They wanted to get the output right, so they came in and learned our business quickly. They were quick learners and asked good questions, which helped them ramp up quickly.

Communication happened through email and in-person conversations. A lot of the work was done in person. We didn’t use Gantt charts or any kind of smart sheets. Often, Venthio provided information in extensive, 50-page Word documents. They also compiled customer feedback they gathered into presentations, which they sent me ahead of time so I could ensure they were ready for our full executive team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Venthio’s experience is broad. Dean and John have worked with a lot of other companies, and they brought those experiences to bear for our benefit.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We couldn’t be happier with the results and the impact of the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Meet with them upfront and have an extensive conversation around what your business is and what your needs are. The more upfront work done, the greater success any client will have.

I’m the marketing and communications manager of a defense company. We manufacture and design vehicles for military customers.

When I came into my company, one of the main things I wanted to do was a complete plan to visually rebuild and rebrand the entire company. Two of the major aspects we needed to work on were the logo and website. We brought on Venthio to rebrand and rebuild all of our visual identity.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first phase was designing the logo. After an initial and second meeting with Venthio, they got a feel for our business and how we run. We got started on the logo project after those discovery meetings. Their team delivered our logo, slide deck templates, business cards, and stationery. From there, we engaged with them for the website.

Their deliverables, including the logo, have made a huge impact on our brand and relations with customers. It has elevated our work visually and is more representative of what we’re trying to be as a company, all through the new logo and visual design.

How did Venthio perform from a project management standpoint?

Dean is always very timely and makes himself available. He follows up a lot and answers our questions. We’re more of a difficult client to work with because we slow things down a lot. However, Dean is super patient. He’s very easy to work with and does a great job. There’s a portal where we can see visual updates of the website design.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with the interpersonal relations. Dean is communicative and attentive. He resolves all our issues and goes above and beyond.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. Any hurdles we had to jump came from my organization’s side.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go ahead and do it, engage with them. Dean is good at understanding what you want so do your best to explain it. He’ll pick up from there. You won’t have to say much. I’d highly recommend Venthio.

I was most concerned about the overall aesthetic of the brand and site rather than any hard metric. I was truly delighted with the branding that was developed, the design that we arrived at, and the site they delivered.

They communicated well with me throughout the process. I always felt like I knew what was going on, and they kept me aware of all deadlines. We communicated via phone and email.

Trust them to do what you hired them to do. It’s easy to micromanage a creative firm, but I think it’s important to listen to them if you want the best product possible.

I’m the owner of Rod Alan, a company that designs wardrobes for individuals. We also advise companies on what their employees and management communicate through the way they dress.

What challenge were you trying to address with Venthio?

I needed help to rebrand my company. I’ve found that customers and clients had a difficult time communicating who they are through their dress. Clothes communicate a lot about a person. I was also preparing for a book series. I knew that I needed to build a foundation with my brand and communicate a message.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Venthio led the full gamut of naming and branding activities. They worked on renaming my company so that it communicates what I do. They helped me establish my identity in the marketplace as an expert. They guided me to think about not only the things that I’m doing today but things that I will be doing 5–10 years from now. 

Venthio also designed the new logo and everything that goes along with merchandising that label in the clothing and retail business. The idea is that when customers see the logo, they know exactly where it comes from. They also worked with us on translating the brand to a new website concept.

I primarily worked with Dean (chief creative officer, Venthio). He communicated to his staff that was doing everything from the physical design to the website concepts.

I’d known Dean for some time within the industry. He’d actually done business with my company. I reached out to him, and we started talking. I quickly realized that I was working with the right person for the job.

I spent probably $100,000 altogether.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place a couple of years ago. It probably lasted an entire year, but the initial project was about six months.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Venthio helped to name my first book. Now it's literally become my signature and my tag line. The brand that we developed together has become my brand. It's like Nike’s swoosh where you know that it's Nike when you see it. When people hear “Extraordinarily You” they know it’s my brand. It really encompasses my whole concept. I have a feeling that this brand is going to bring success for the rest of my career. 

How did Venthio perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team was great. Dean always followed up to see what was effective, how was it received, was it confusing, or do we need to add something more. They kept in close contact especially in the beginning stages of developing the logo, the colors, and the content. They made sure that we were getting the response that we were looking for. 

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Venthio truly understands that it's about the customer and not about them. Their goal is not to create something that they like. They used their expertise to guide us. They know the market and what the market is looking for. Their expertise also comes in knowing how to fulfill the customer’s vision. Dean was able to come up with what was already in my head. He was able to pull all of the creative ideas out of my head and to get them down on paper or on a website. Now they exist as something that I can put into practice. My problem was deciding what should my message be and how should I communicate that message. Dean and his team helped me do that. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

No, not really. Another company might have done things differently, but I don't know that it would have been any more effective. Venthio nailed it. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Be open-minded going in. Dean has many years of experience. His company is going to get results with your brand so that when people see the name, they know exactly what it means. Don’t go in thinking that you know everything. You may know everything about your business, but they know how to brand it and how to market it. That's where they’ll be of the most help.
