Varti Studio prepared well for the meetings and proposed different options and solutions. We then discussed the main open questions for the next iteration.

We hired Varti to develop the UI/UX of our online software product. As a part of the work, Varti designed a complex user flow, UI/UX design, and branded logos. Further, Varti made suggestions on how to best to create this UI/UX design and user flow, and effectively built the entire design from the ground up.

Timely completion of UI/UX develierables mutually agreed upon as measured on a weekly basis.

Varti always delivers on time. If anything, Varti is awaiting my response. Importantly, Varti's promptness is true with both the product deliverables as well as administrative matters. For me, how a company handles administrative matters is a strong signal of how the company approaches busines in general. Varti is very punctual in responding to and providing information on all of my administrative concerns. In short, Varti does a great job on project management.

Three things: (1) product quality, (2) ease of working relationship, and (3) value. 

• Regarding product quality, Varti simply delivers a great product (including delivering great UX/UI, timely providing deliverables, etc.). 
• Regarding ease of working relationship, Varti makes the relationship very easy (including onboarding, contract review, tax items, scheduling meetings, responding to messages, etc.). 
• Regarding value, I interviewed several companies in the States, and they charge 5 - 10x what Varti does. 

In essence, with Varti, you get a great product, at a great price, with great people. What more do you want?

When Lytics has went through the startup phase and become a mature product, we have decided to find a good design agency to redesign our platform.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched Behance for the best UX/UI designers and shortlisted 3. After interviewing them, we chose Varti Studio based on their past projects related to real estate area, design skills, and cost estimate.

First, we filled in the short brief with the questions, then made the initial call and agreed on all terms. We decided to start redesigning from the one(main) page of our system. We've created a test user in our system for Varti Studio and they used it to review the current UI/UX of our system. Then, after a day or so, they created a prototype with the UX suggestions, based on our data. We asked about a few small adjustments and after that we agreed on the UX part.

For the UI part they gave us a few examples, based on our preferences and we chose 2 which we liked the most. After a few days/week we saw the first versions of UI. It was almost what we wanted. We've asked for a few changes and voila, we have a fantastic version to redesign our system, including fonts, colors, components, etc. After that we just continue to implement/redesign all other parts of our system one by one.

We hired Varti to create our end-to-end UX design for our e-commerce (Shopify) plug-in application. This was the first product we were publicly bringing to market with brand partners so it was very important that we got the design right.

How did you select this vendor?

We evaluated many different design contractors, including US-based designers which were 10x more expensive than what Varti was offering, and the quality of Varti's designs were on par or better. We also looked at other design contractors on Upwork, Fiverr and Behance and chose Varti after conducting interviews and trial projects with 2-3 firms.

We have had an ongoing engagement with Varti for our UI/UX design needs. For our first project, Varti designed the entire end-to-end application. We shared some early design ideas that we had created as well as sketches of the user flow, and Varti transformed that into fully fleshed out mockups. We also didn't have a visual design or branding guide but Varti was able to use their judgment and knowledge of our space to give us a few different visual design options that would work. After getting the basic flows mocked up, we conducted user testing and got feedback from our brand partner and came back to Varti to integrate that feedback. Varti continually produced iterations (even on a daily basis) and that rapid iteration really helped us to quickly get to our final design.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We conducted usability testing with the designs and found that they were very intuitive for users to understand. We also got very positive feedback from our brand/retailer partners who felt the designs were professional and up to their standards.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The Varti team was extremely responsive and communicative - I think this is one of their greatest strengths compared to other UX/UI designers. We kept an open Slack channel with their team and ours and we also used Figma comments to communicate any feedback.

Despite the time differences, the team was very good at processing our feedback and turning around new iterations within 12-24 hours of us providing comments.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me the most is that Varti truly felt like an extension of our team. We felt like we could always rely on Varti to get the work done with high quality standards, attention to detail, and in a timely manner - all of which are extremely important for a fast-moving startup. We were working with Varti when the invasion of Ukraine first occurred, and we were extremely concerned for their safety.

Despite everything going on, Varti continued to deliver exceptional work for our team, with amazing dedication and a positive outlook. We love working with Olga and Anna and can't recommend the team more to others.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

My only small piece of feedback is that with the UI/UX design, the team tends to be more focused on the visual elements and a little less on the transitions/interaction/motion that can sometimes bring the design more to life. But we also weren't prioritizing a ton of interactivity in our design because we are an early stage startup and that would also add to the engineering work.
