Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Throughout the project, our team led the development and technical overhaul of a web-based Canvas application built with Angular, aligning it with the client’s iOS app. We delivered new features while fixing critical issues left by a previous contractor.Key areas included:
- refactoring the codebase to eliminate memory leaks and dead code
- improving structure with a component-based architecture
- enhancing developer experience by integrating ESLint, Prettier, Husky, and GitHub Hooks - reducing code style issues by 98%We implemented CI/CD using GitHub Actions and built a reusable SDK with automated publishing. Storybook enabled faster, isolated UI development (~40% improvement). Firebase was decoupled from the core app, increasing flexibility. Bug and glitch volume decreased by 85%, resulting in a more stable system.We also maintained strong asynchronous communication via GitHub, Slack, and Notion, rebuilding transparency and momentum with the client’s internal team.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We have regular sync up calls and managed most issues via GitHub. I was able to prioritise the issues and they were completed in that order. Any questions could be answered via Slack and there was a good amount of intuition to complete the tasks. Very pleased with the management of the issues!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of the work that was produced was very good. It meant that it took our project from a "OK" project to a very highly polished product and we are super pleased with the work! 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Varbintech could have done differently?

Theres always a tradeoff between speed, cost and quality and you can only ever choose two. WE chose cost and quality and as a result it took a little longer than expected. It was however a complex project so thats understandable!
