Introduce your business and what you do there.
My organization specializes in fighting humidity in homes. We treat rising damp in walls. I’m the founder and CEO of the company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Varamedia Digitaal Marketing Bureau?
They built our website and are providing marketing services for the company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Varamedia developed our WordPress website and is maintaining it. They’re also running our Google Ads, managing content on our website, and creating new articles. They run our Facebook as well.
The main focus of our website is to be very strong in terms of SEO, and they’re doing a great job in that sense. We run Google Ads as well, but it’s very expensive, so Varamedia’s strategy has been to focus on organic search. They ask me a lot of questions in order to get ideas for new articles, and I also provide them with pictures.
What is the team composition?
I’m in contact with Varamedia’s CEO and an SEO expert.
How did you come to work with Varamedia Digitaal Marketing Bureau?
They were referred to me by a partner whose website was built by Varamedia. I saw the results of their work, and it convinced me to work with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Varamedia in June 2019. There was a migration period from our previous agency, and Varamedia took over at the beginning of July 2019. They’re continuing to run our paid channels and SEO.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen the results of the SEO come in. The website has a great layout and great content. This is a great month for us, being the heart of the summer, and Varamedia has been working on our air conditioning pages. We’ve reached page one of the results for a very important query. We had 43 leads yesterday while we had approximately 10 leads per month last year. The business has truly exploded.
Yesterday was our craziest day ever, but it was also very hot. We saw 38 degrees Celsius, and many people were panicking. Hundreds of thousands or maybe millions of people were searching for air conditioning, and we were on page one of the results. We never would have gotten the kind of traffic we got without SEO.
How did Varamedia Digitaal Marketing Bureau perform from a project management standpoint?
We get monthly reports from them with graphs and numbers. I’m not entirely sure what their process is, and I have a company to run so I trust them to do their work. Their project management is great. Their CEO also visits our office once a month to discuss the progress, so we have a personal connection. I think that this is extremely important for running a marketing campaign.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The previous agency we were using was reporting numbers that were good on paper only. They did do a good job, but they were only looking at numbers, whereas Varamedia only looks at the true results. Our previous agency counted every phone call and email as a lead, but Varamedia doesn’t count phone calls as leads. They focus exclusively on conversions, and that’s led to very good results.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The number of leads we’re getting is great, but something they could improve is their graphic design. It’s okay but I feel that it’s not their strongest point. I’ve given them feedback on how to improve our landing page design. If they get an in-house graphic designer, then maybe I won’t have to give them feedback myself.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I’d advise them to go ahead and do it.
