    KEY CHALLENGES

    • There was some issue with the gradle while setting up the ionic.
    • Then testing out the app on native mobile, sometimes the issue won’t reflect on the web app but they did on the mobile version of the app.
    • Usage of native camera for the app used to throw an error specifically on ios. It was eventually fixed by not sending the base64 image in the request. Also there were some permissions required to be added for granting camera access.
    • The barcode scanner wasn’t working on IOS, it used to throw threads out of bound error on the xcode while running it on the iPhone. Eventually we found it was an error from the plugin’s developers which they fixed themselves.
    • Location issue, getting access rights for using the geolocation services on the ios was again another thing we stumbled upon after which there was an issue with accuracy of pinpointing the location in the app.
    • POS (point of sale) ideal timeout after some time. In this we used to take the user to a certain page if he had no activity for sometime, but the issue was that this ideal timeout functionality was to be implemented on some pages, not all the pages which we can see after logging in.

    The company manufactures DIY kids’ fridge magnets where children follow instructions and piece together a puzzle to create the final character. They were looking at taking this concept forward by digitizing it to make it more interactive by creating a fun and educational app for

    children.

    So, we developed this app that will allow for infinite number of stories each time so that every time the character pops up, it has something different to offer to the kids.

    The customer had spoken to a dozen other companies and each came up with different solutions. None of which could economically accommodate consistent story and product updates. 

    However, ValueCoders was not only able to put together a solution using wikitude SDK for virtual reality that fit the brief perfectly but also offered almost elastic scalability.

    But the app needed to be both interactive and dynamic as kids have a very short attention span. It needed to scan the character put together by the kid and throw up a virtual reality character that came with a different story every time in the form of an image, activity or audio.

    Meeting App

    This is a web application which is completely separate from browser or native client application. It provides the Web RTC connection when opened. This meeting application is implemented with the help of Easy RTC libs which uses socket.io as signaling server. The chat, file sending, adding peer in call, screen share features are provided in this web application.

    • Sharing Files: Easyrtc file sharing API allows users to send and receive files. We can drag and drop or select files to send. The check box on the left can be marked to send the files to all the connected users in the meeting room.
    • Screen Sharing: Easyrtc screen sharing API is used for sharing screens. This also helps in presenting the sales proposal virtually. This function requests that screen capturing should be used to provide the local media source rather than a webcam.
    • Medical Journal – Objective, peer-reviewed evaluations of new FDA-approved drugs, and new information on previously approved drugs.
    • Shared Browsing: Just like screen share, this feature helps to show your browser tab to other users while browsing. You can also pass control to other users to click and navigate the browsing too.
    • Group Chat: This feature enables up to a maximum of four people to join in a group chat and have access to the files and other media shared in that particular chat window.
    • Image Capturing: Image capturing is done by making use of the setting’s menu available on the dashboard.
    • Recording of Video/Audio : The chat conversations between peers can be easily recorded for future use.

It receives its requests via XML and returns the results in the same way. So we use XML serialization for passing the data to the SYSPRO.

The modified data as received from the e-commerce application is again stored in the SQL Server database.

    • Updating data in Caspio’s table as well as logging details at the same data for another section in the Project was one of the challenges.
    • Caspio Platform does not support Triggered Actions more than one nested level & we had already utilized the triggered actions to its full extent.
    • Saving data for later to Edit or Save and continue to next Page was another challenge as Caspio only provides a single submit button which can not be modified to be used for a different purpose.

    • To resolve the first issue, We have added “Change” button in the Front-end HTML. We used this button for a modal element. This modal element was then used to make changes in another table created especially to log the Start Date of every user.
    • we used a Triggered Action to transfer and update the same data in the Caspio’s table.
    • To resolve the second challenge, we manually created two update buttons using Java Script with two different functionality, i.e., save and edit later or Save and continue.

    KEY CHALLENGES:
    We were using the Segment & Airship tool to capture the events and trigger the notifications. As per earlier discussion, it was supposed to work in a manner where our system will share/pass the details to segment and then segment would analyze and differentiate between events & notifications and would share the information with Airship.
    Map Clustering was another challenge. On the map, if there are multiple shops at the same place or nearby another one then they are overriding the shop's icons.

    OUR SOLUTIONS:

    We were facing a lot of issues related to events and multiple notifications through the above workflow. So we decided to share the information directly to Airship and validate the details. We faced issues in the starting but after a lot of research and minor changes in the code, we were able to fetch accurate results.
    The solution of map clustering was to display those shops in a single cluster & when users tap on the cluster then it displays the list of all shops given in that cluster.
