Our Solution: As the client didn’t have any direction on the video format, Value Productions offered them the Strategy Session, to extract all information from the client, such as target audience, their demographics, intentions, the features SmartScout have that would give a new perspective to their costumers, etc. After it, we structured ideas along with the provided script from a partner of ours and came up with a 1 min and 38 seconds video highlighting all the features that make the client stand out.

Business Requirements: Lodgify is a Spanish startup that provides services to rental business owners, as a property management system, website builder, and integration platform with various popular Online Travel Agencies, like Airbnb, Expedia, Booking, etc.
The client needed several videos for an online campaign, such as 60, 20, and 6 seconds versions to show the platform to potential clients.
Our Solution: After reviewing all material provided by the client, Value Productions proposed to the client create one video for 60 and 20 seconds, and four versions of 6 seconds videos showing off the main features of the platform. During the process, Value Productions' team also jumped into the creatives of the videos, working together with the client's team to achieve the best script and visuals, always looking forward to having the best result possible with the campaign of the client.

Business Requirements: FerdOcean is an awarded company from Norway that developed a unique way of treating drilling waste from offshore petroleum extraction rigs, that reduces the environmental impact and costs less than the regular process currently used. They reached out to Value Productions looking for having a 3D animation that could explain to potential clients how the solution works and can help them to improve the overall extraction process.
Our Solution:
Value Productions proposed to the client a 2 minutes video showing the whole process. For that, the production team dove deep into the technical details with the client, to properly explain how the solution works.
The client provided some assets in CAD models, and the production team had to rework them to get an efficient pipeline for the animation and rendering process.
In the end, Value Productions delivered a great 2 minutes and 3 seconds video with great visuals and a well-animated story, explaining the client's solution.

Business Requirements: AppSec Phoenix is a SaaS Company into the cybersecurity area that provides a full automated solution for scanning for data breaches and possible sensible points attackers may exploit. The full automated solution also manages the tasks necessary for fixing the issues and integrates it with Jira, Slack and Email. The company needed a 2 min video to explain in a simple way how their services works.
Our Solution:
The main challenge of this video was to explain such complicated concepts into both verbal and visual ways, for non-technical company members would understand the points the system would help them to better protect their systems. After a big brainstorm with the client, and understanding the product very well, Value Productions, along with Joe Nicholson, the scriptwriter, came up with a neat script, and visual ideas, that could explain, in 1 minute and 48 seconds, all the main concepts of the tool and how it would help potential customers.

Hacken Token Explainer Live Action Shooting

Business Requirements: Hacken is a Cyber Security company that has released their own crypto token. They required a video that could show all the benefits of having their tokens, explaining the services and how to unlock them as a crypto user.
Our Solution:
The main challenge of this video was to simply explain the concepts of tokens, how you can use it in favor of the user, and how the system works, also making it engaging and fun. Value Productions suggested creating a live-action video inspired in the Dollar Shave Club commercials, which were a huge success a few years ago. After the approval of the concept, Value Productions took care of all the production needed for creating the video, such as location rental, actor selection, gear selection, filming, editing and VFXs.
At the end, we created a nice piece of high-quality work that has been used by the company to increase their value as a company, explaining their token and business elements.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for an electrical distribution company. We sell electrical products, cable, wire, and more to contractors. The company is located in Canada, but we’re part of a global brand. I’m the marketing e-commerce specialist, and I’m in charge of internally and externally promoting our website using marketing collateral.
What challenge were you trying to address with Value Productions?
I hired them to make a video.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Value Productions created a video that showcases all of our different website features and their functionality. Our target market was our customers and potential customers.
To jumpstart the project, we provided screenshots of the website — how to open an account, view and place orders, create jobs, and more. They did a two-minute video with versions in English and French using those screenshots and background music. They ensured the flow was good and the message was clear.
What is the team composition?
I was in contact with three people. I worked mainly with Vitor who was in charge of the video production. Peter (CEO) and another colleague was in charge of the funds, providing estimates and the overall management of the project.

I found them on Upwork.

We spent approximately $3,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked from February–June 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The video was posted on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram a week ago, so I don’t have data to share yet. However, we have plenty of internal and external feedback saying that it’s a step up from our past marketing content. It’s the first time that we have a video for our website. We usually only have user guides or one-sheet pages.
How did Value Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
They were great. Value Productions was always hands-on with the deliverables. We just told them our idea and how we wanted the video to be, and they gave us different options and told us the type of work that would be best for us. I mentioned I wanted to do animation, but they explained it would be too heavy, so they came out with another option.
We just used Slack to communicate and send the screenshots.
What did you find most impressive about them?
This was my first experience with a video production company, but their work was overall impressive. Also, they ensured they made the product that we wanted, which was something we valued.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could provide the option to pay a portion at the start and final payment at the end of the project instead of hourly or weekly. The weekly payment made the project more expensive on our end given that we had to pay fees with each transaction.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure everything is clear from the beginning — pricing, number of draft changes, and anything that comes with creating a video of this type.

I'm part of the performance marketing team which is in charge of all the paid strategy and initiatives. We are a SaaS company for vacation rental owners and managers that look for an all-in-one tool to manage and grow their bookings and business.
For what projects/services did your company hire Value Productions, and what were your goals?
We wanted to create professional videos to increase brand awareness and conversion. We used to communicate really well what we can do with our blogs, learning center and knowledge base, but we weren't too good at doing it with visuals. The need was a fresh and super professional product sales video to present what we do and what are our main features.
How did you select Vakue Production and what were the deciding factors?
We did a pitch and they presented us a whole planning with a complete budget divided by hours, activities and dates. We liked their professionalism from the beginning and of course the pricing was also a key factor for us.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
We needed a set of videos for our website and our paid video campaigns. We gave them an initial storyboard and brief and they started from there. Then they came with different proposals for each video. They also sent different options for background music and VO artists. We had 2 creative meetings to brainstorm ideas and find solutions to some creative issues we found on the way.
Almost each day they were sending parts of the materials so we could accept and move forward. Vitor always had an amazing communication with us.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
We worked with Vitor, their PM that always communicated us any issue, need or concern and showed us a preview in each production stage. The feeback process was super smooth and they were really open to hear our comments, ideas and needs. Even though we had different time zone we never felt a lack of communication.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We showed the videos to our management team and they really liked. We had super positive feedback from all the team saying that the video looked super professional with a fresh and dynamic vibe. They highlighted the fact that the videos resumed in a great way what our product offers with its key benefits and features.

We used InVision, Figma and Frame.io for all the multimedia elements. Also we connected via Slack to have an active communication.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their organization and proactiveness were impressive. They were always trying to find a great solution for our needs. The project manager was in constant communication with us and open to hear any concern or request.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Maybe all the terms and conditions about the payment via Upwork.

My team looked for five video production groups within our budget and whose work we thought was a good fit for this video. From there, we conducted interviews with each producer. We ultimately selected Value Productions due to their professionalism in the interview and their previous work.

Value Productions really took care of us throughout the project. They handled the voice acting, background music, and animation. They also offered to take care of the scripting if we needed help with a script. They just needed a quick overview of our company, a description of what we do, and a conceptual storyboard and went right to work. They gave us updated storyboards as the project progressed and eventually sent us the full video to review and revise once we were past storyboards.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
They had a different team member take care of each individual process. Each member gave us revisions and was open to feedback the entire way through the process.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Everyone on the team is extremely satisfied with the video. We feel that it accurately describes and demonstrates the product while keeping true to MaxQ's branding and identity. We can't wait to publish it to our page!

They were very helpful and fast to respond with any revisions that we made, despite being on a mismatched time zone with us. Each member introduced themselves while we were moving through the process and each member kept up the responses and work.

As we are a new business we needed some different videos to showcase our business and our different services.

We wanted four videos in total. - A hero video for our business which showcased all of our services - 3 x videos which each showcased one of our three core services The videos all needed to reflect our brand identity and create interest and excitment around our new concept.
How did you select this vendor?
We created a project for the job which we then went out to tender with. We had a selection of people apply for the job which we then narrowed down to our top selections. Peter provided me with a detailed timeline and budget and also had a phone call with me which is what made me choose his and Value Productions over the other shortlisted agencies.

The video production team had to pull together the four videos using a mix of footage we had taken as well as stock imagery and stock video footage they sourced on our behalf. We wrote the script and then Value Productions organised the voice over artist.

Peter was the account manager and he did all of the client-focused work, liaising with me on behalf of his team. As this was our first video for the business we had quite a few rounds of amends with Value Productions facilitated.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are only just about to launch the final videos so i don't have any measurements. However, the overall feedback from other stakeholders is that the videos are extremely professional and get across our business and services very well.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was good, they used a mix of Google Drive, FEX, email; and whatsapp to manage the process. They created a timeline and a budget at the start of the project which was clear and kept us all accountable for deliverables.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Considering they are based in the Ukraine and I was in Australia i was worried about the language barrier. However, Peter was very good at communicating and made the process a smooth one.
Are there any areas for improvement?
As with any project, there are always improvements that can be made however overall i would say the company was great to work with. I am happy with the process and given the time difference they worked very well with me.
