Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of analytics at OLX Group, an online classified marketplace. We provide a platform for people to list their own products and connect buyers with sellers.
What challenge were you trying to address with Valiance Solutions?
We needed to build a machine learning model that could identify potentially high-value clients so that we improve our efficiency and conversion.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked with them on two separate engagements. The first was supplementing our current capacity, and we quickly onboarded a few resources so we could continue working to support our various clients.
The next engagement was around a few specific projects, including reporting and a machine learning model to help us identify potentially high-value clients, which we deployed to optimize the sales process. Valiance Solutions’ main contribution in our engagements was the machine learning and AI work.
Throughout, there was also some ad hoc work that the team completed for us, like completing dashboards in collaboration with our own team.

Prior to the machine learning product, we were targeting all possible sellers in the platform, calling them up, and pitching them the product. The idea with the machine learning model was to improve efficiency, which we saw an increase of by 60%. Their work is good. Valiance Solutions is proactive and engages well.
How did Valiance Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
We mostly guided them in terms of doing work. The only project in which they handled the timeline was the machine learning, which they handled well. We used email and phone calls and had a lot of face-to-face meetings. They would meet us every month if not more.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Valiance Solutions is open and they listen. They don’t force an opinion. They work like a collaborative partner.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could do better with the onboarding of resources.

It’s always good to have the scope and expectations clearly defined.
