BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Lead UX Designer helping clients take their e-commerce solutions to the next level. Monday Motorbike wanted to ensure they could compete with other electric motorbikes in the market.

They needed help taking their website and e-commerce solution to the next level, and Valant has always been my. go-to company to help with the development and engineering of all websites and e-commerce solutions.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Valant, and what were your goals?

Implement a custom e-commerce solution and create the features required for the client in Shopify. This includes the customization of themes, install and configuration of Shopify apps and the proper user journey throughout the buying process. This has helped ensure a reduced abandonment rate and increase in upselling additional products.

SOLUTION

How did you select Valant and what were the deciding factors?

I have worked with Victoria from Valant for years with these client projects for both complex Wordpress sites and Shopify e-commerce sites. Alex is an outstanding developer and doesn't require a lot of direction, as he is a true expert in his field.

None of the projects I have helped do UX design for could have been successfully implemented without the team from Valant.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Once the client has approved the designs for their Shopify site, I begin working with Alex from Valant. We review all the designs and the list of applications that need to be installed and configured to ensure we are able to meet the requirements of the user experience and user journey.

We work closely together to ensure things are done to the highest level of professionalism and usability. We work with the client closely to ensure all details are captured and requirements are met. The level of detail Valant and their team provide with the development, QA testing and usability are among the best.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Victoria Kozeeva is the project manager and she is great to work with. She has years of experience and adds a lot of value and knowledge to the project. Alex Oleksenko is the lead developer and engineer on the projects I work on. We have worked on several projects together over the years, so we have a very good work flow.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Without the help of the team from Valant, I would not be able to successfully complete my projects. They are the best company I have worked with over the past 15 years, which is why when the need arises, they are always who I turn to.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

They use various tools to help track the project management. We typically take a Agile approach, and try and do things in sprints. We rely on Skype to communicate on a daily basis, and they are always available to answer questions and help guide the client with solutions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Even though the team at Valant is in the Ukraine, the language, working time each day and the quality of the work has never been an issue. Things are done when they specify and things are done correctly the first time.

I have worked with other teams over the years, but with Valant, I don't need to babysit so much of the little details, worrying if things will be done correctly and done well.They have met the high standards I have, as well as the standards and needs of the client.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I don't really have any areas for them to improve, and that is me being honest. They are always available, easy to communicate with, and their work is dependable and top notch.
