Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our parent company is Lens Media House Inc., and our subsidiary is Campus Lens. We are a creative marketplace that connects videographers and photographers to brands, organizations, and individuals. The productions range from small-scale to full-scale productions, including advertising. I am the founder, marketing director, and head of artist relations/music video production.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Val Dudka Design Company?

We needed to create a logo and brand designs for our parent company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Val Dudka Design conducted an initial discovery phone call to understand our company’s requirements and presented their rates/qualifications.

Then, the CEO met with us for a creative session to outline our vision and wireframe our brand. He provided us with 3–4 sets of different logos on simulated applications, such as branded documents and contracts. We communicated on the designs we liked and asked for adjustments. He took our feedback to create additional rough drafts and proofs. Then, he built out color schemes, palettes, font, and finalized our logo.

How did you come to work with Val Dudka Design Company?

We found them through Google searches. We were doing a national search through blogs, portfolios, and ratings. We interview various vendors and choose Val Dudka as our best option.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested $750 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the engagement in November 2017 and it ended in January 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have no consumer metrics, as we have yet to launch the website. However, our employees love the designs and how they represent us with a high level of professionalism. The new graphics really boosted their morale.

How did Val Dudka Design Company perform from a project management standpoint?

The CEO was available whenever we needed him. He was on-point and always responded within a couple of hours. He consistently communicated with us through daily emails and phone calls. Any lapse in communication was on our end—never on his.

In the beginning, we communicated more often to figure out which direction we wanted to go. During the designing stage, he spent 7–10 days creating changes and our communication dwindled. However, it picked up again during the revision process with no issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were most impressed by their quality of work for the price. Their cost was unmatched, as other companies would've cost 2–3 times for the same quality designs. The CEO understood our business well and executed workflow at a very high level. He translated our vision into high-quality branding. We could have easily chosen many of the drafts he provided us and were never cornered into choosing subpar designs. He was very flexible and willing to start from scratch if we didn’t like a design.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Perhaps, he could scale the business more to take larger projects. However, the scale worked well for our project and overall, Val Dudka was excellent.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very direct, because Val is very good at listening and taking your feedback. Be prepared to explain your vision, business model, and how you operate. The more information you give him, the more he will be able to help you.

I am an employee at Medweise. We conduct searches for people who want to get medical treatment in Germany. We also organize treatments.

What challenge were you trying to address with Val Dudka Design Company?

We wanted to hire someone to do some branding and strategy work. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

For the new brand, we wanted to choose the right color palette and typefaces. Val [Owner, Val Dudka Design Company] organized our site’s fonts, typefaces, and color palettes. He also provided business cards and brochures and designed our logo. He didn’t do the whole website, but he updated the design so that everything had the same style.

We didn’t have anyone working on our marketing before, and we were just starting out with professional branding. I don’t know how many people worked on this project. All of our requests were delivered.

How did you come to work with Val Dudka Design Company?

We found them on the internet and liked their style. I know that Val’s company is very good. 

How much have you invested with Val Dudka Design Company?

We spent approximately $11,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in 2016, and we worked together for at least 6 months. The work was completed in February of 2017.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

We were very satisfied with the finished work. The whole experience was pleasant. The project was successful and attracted interested in our company. In addition to hearing from people who would like treatment in Germany, we’ve also been contacted by people who want to work with us. Val made some good suggestions that we are still using.  

How did Val Dudka Design Company perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated by email or social networks. We also had occasional calls during the project. We dealt with Val directly and communicated mostly by email. We had several separate segments of the project. When we started the project, we communicated daily. When we moved on to business cards, we also worked very closely and intensely.

What did you find most impressive about Val Dudka Design Company?

Val is organized, works fast, and is very responsible. He didn’t need a lot of time to find a result that satisfied both sides.

Are there any areas Val Dudka Design Company could improve?

I can’t think of any areas for improvement.

I strongly recommend Val and his company. We were very satisfied with his work.

We needed general branding and initial assistance, and Val, the founder, has a really good eye for design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Val sent me logos and kept designing until we liked what we had. I had him do more stuff like social media development as we went along.

How did you come to work with Val Dudka?

I found his designs on Instagram and liked them, so I emailed him. I decided on him because it’s more affordable than a traditional marketing/advertising agency.

How much have you invested with Val Dudka?

We have invested $1,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The work started in November 2016 and concluded in December 2016 for the logo. We’re going to get back together to have him design our website.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Our logo is really good. It definitely speaks to our brand. Everyone likes it and is excited to have it on clothes and stuff. They ask me when that’s happening.

How did Val Dudka perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was really good. His brand ideas incorporated well with my own ideas.

What did you find most impressive about Val Dudka?

He made a million different changes and gave ideas until we were happy. I also enjoyed working with him on a personal level. He was easy to do business with. He was responsive and always around.

Are there any areas Val Dudka could improve?

No, he’s really good.

What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Val Dudka?

Others should use him. He holds your hand the whole way and does it all for you along with having a lot of great ideas.
