I’m the head of US marketing at an IoT networking company.
What challenges were you trying to address with Version 2.0 Communications?
We hired them to help with PR and communications.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They do byline articles and press releases for us. They take the initiative to find publicity opportunities through their contacts with industry analysts and journalists.
What is the team composition?
I work with a team of four people: Victoria (Account Manager), Kristen (Vice President), Amanda (Account Executive), and Caroline (Assistant Account Executive).

They were already with us when I started at the company.

How did Version 2.0 Communications perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very communicative and proactive. They always let me know when one of the teammates is going to be out of the office, and they provide backup contact information in case of an emergency. They provide weekly recaps of the articles we’ve appeared in and competitive analysis. We have calls twice a month too.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They make me look so good. Their reports really impressed our team and motivated our employees to dig deeper to remain competitive in our industry.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’ve been great.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They're very flexible and open to ideas. Let them know what verticals you want to hit, give them ideas about who your competitors are, what’s important to you, and what milestones you want to hit. If you want a private investor relationship, they can position you for that. You just have to be upfront about it.
Also, treat them like they’re a part of your team and share information with them.
