BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the brand manager at a fertilizer manufacturer. We started in Canada about 40 years ago, and now have corporate offices in both Canada and the United States.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Urban Block Media?

We needed a new, mobile-friendly website. It was important for us to appeal to younger demographics with an up-to-date layout. At the time, our website looked old and performed poorly on mobile devices. We brought in Urban Block Media to change that.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Using core materials from our current site content, they completely redesigned the structure and layout of our platform. In that work, they added a geo-location product for our sales representatives, allowing us to assign contacts to customers based on location. Because of the early success that we saw with them in this project, they’re now our go-to website team.

What is the team composition?

Personally, I worked directly with one of their team members.

How did you come to work with Urban Block Media?

I originally met one of their representatives while attending a national conference for an organization that we both volunteer for. We started discussing our careers at this event, and I realized that our company was in need of a team like his.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent over $10,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2017, and our collaboration is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everyone that’s seen the site has been happy with the interface and its ability to function well on mobile devices. It was well-received both internally and externally.

How did Urban Block Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Whenever I call them, we discuss what I need for the site. A few days later, I’ll recieve a quote. From there, things get accomplished. Once the initial website was built, we’ve been making regular improvements and additions to it. Because of their project management, that’s moving along smoothly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness and reasonable pricing structure made them stand out from their competition.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.
