I’m the CEO of Swipet, an insurtech company that provides pet insurance.

What challenge were you trying to address with Unlock Management?
We needed an alternative to a call center, so we asked Unlock Management to create an AI support system for our clients. We wanted to build a customer-only services system.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Unlock Management has developed two AI systems: one for WhatsApp and Instagram and another for phone calls. We plan to build one for Outlook as well. The team has also integrated the AI into our existing systems and learned how to implement the AI into our programs.
We’ve worked on the project in two phases: implementation and training. The first phase involved creating a conversational AI system, and the second phase has involved training the AI with documents and real conversations. The project also includes automation, which is meant to help us with our data collection and training models efforts.

We’re still improving WhatsApp's AI. The implementation of the phone call AI will be finished in September 2025. So far, Unlock Management has done a great job with the implementation and training. I like that they think of more ideas and other ways to use the AI.

Unlock Management meets deadlines and stays on budget. They're very involved in the pricing. Moreover, we use Miro for project management and communicate via WhatsApp, Google Meet, and email.

What challenge were you trying to address with Unlock Management?
We needed help with a go-to-market strategy. We had a problem in one of our portfolio companies, and the board member and operating partner in this portfolio company was involved. And the problem was that we received some funds, and we, in fact, invested some funds in the company because we decided to implement a new business model. So, this new business model, we had great expertise in the B2C space, and we needed some help in the B2B space. The idea is, they help us to sell this energy product to SMBs.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Unlock Management provided business consulting, market research, and go-to-market strategy services. We started by providing them with a document that outlined our previous market strategy and the main characteristics of our product. From there, they conducted market research and analyzed the energy sector to determine which SMBs would be the best fit for our product. Ultimately, they recommended targeting property managers and gyms.

We worked with three people, including the CEO, a key account, and an analyst.
How did you come to work with Unlock Management?
We found them through a referral. We have friends in common with their CEO. We chose them because of their expertise in go-to-market strategies, particularly in the B2B space. We needed help switching our strategy from B2C to B2B in the energy sector, and they had success stories in that area.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We spoke with around 80 potential clients, had 10–15 demos, and 2–3 POCs. Overall, the quality of their work met our expectations. The problem with strategy consultants is not the results, research, or management themselves. It's that they don't get into the dirt as much as you are requesting because they are strategy consultants. They are not operators. I'm an operator. The problem, and it's not their problem—it could be my problem or my team's problem—is that I'm hiring a strategy consultant, and the strategy consultant, well, they invest money on your behalf, marketing money. They are providing, well, they hire on your behalf, a customer relations and management program. They are providing very good or good PPTs with very good information, but they are not operators. That's your problem.
How did Unlock Management perform from a project management standpoint?
They delivered on time and within budget. However, we think they could improve their communication by having more touchpoints. We communicated and managed the project using Trello, email, and Google Docs.

They chose the right tools to gather information and achieve results, which I think is the best part of the job.
