We needed help with AI software development, project management, and consulting services. Basically, we needed capable AI architects.

However, it's worth noting that this project is a government contract that needs a lot of redirecting. The contract had originally been forfeited, meaning the individuals who initially got the contract couldn’t successfully build a team around creating the intricacies of what was desired. So, we needed another team.

UMENIT provides AI development, project management, and advisory services. We've tasked UMENIT to help our development team integrate AI, APIs, and prompt engineering and understand the different layers of SaaS development.

The government branch funding the project understood why many resources were lost initially, as it wasn’t going as planned. However, UMENIT has leveraged their expertise. They’ve concentrated heavily on AI, but they’ve also used Python, Node.js, React, and JSON.

We have worked with 3–4 people from their team. It has fluctuated from time to time.

We found them through a freelancer website. After the original contract was forfeited, we had to present a general idea to UMENIT. The project was given to us in bits and pieces, so we needed a new team with strong communication skills that could be proactive and innovative. UMENIT looked between the gray areas and offered organizational strategies, so we engaged them.

UMENIT has helped us save money, probably around 40%–50% of what we would’ve spent without them. Honestly, they’ve brought the project to life. They have also brought other strategies and expertise that have made the project extremely successful.

UMENIT has also proved they’re familiar with web scraping and knowledgeable about AI and API integrations.

They communicate well and stay within the budget. Regarding communication, we use a combination of Slack, Asana, Odoo, and Zoom.
