Our scope of work included full management of our e-mail marketing initiatives:

1. 6 e-mail campaigns per month
2. 2-4 SMS campaigns

4. Social media content development: 16 posts per month.
5. Management and Implementation of E-mail
6. Social Media Content Strategy and calendar management
7. UGC Style Videography
8. Graphic Design
 

Included full content ideation, copywriting, e-mail design and promo planning support.  Biweekly planning calls and quarterly KPI reviews.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Umai revamped our entire e-mail automation and increased automation revenue by 20%. Open rates, CTRs and other relevant KPIs all improved after implementing their recommendations. Triggers and timing were optimized for conversion as well. Shopify revenue attributed to e-mail increased 21% YoY. Social media following increased MoM, as did average likes, shares and saves per post.

Umai was always on time with deliverables. They are highly organized, pay great attention to detail, and never leave any project unfinished. In my almost 2+ years of working with them, I don't recall a time where they ever dropped the ball on a project. They are responsive, communicative and overall a fantastic team to work with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciated the direct communication I had with Karin and Alison. You often get passed around in agencies, but at Umia we were able to work closely with our project manager, Karin and Alison and they truly became like an extension of our marketing team. They specialize in better-for-you CPG food and bev brands, which gives them an innate understanding of how to speak to a very particular consumer. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something UMAI Marketing could have done differently?

No, they were incredible partners. Any time I had any semi-constructive feedback for them they welcomed it with open arms and open ears and made any ncessary adjustments.

UMAI team was extremely responsive to requests and they were always thorough in their communications. The team always sent deliverables on time and gave ample time to provide feedback. They were also gracious and prompt with any requested revisions.

We were impressed with their prompt communication and insightful strategies that thoughtfully encompassed our goals, campaign objectives, past performance, trends, and competitive analyses. Friendly, creative, and considerate team members who were delightful to work with on a daily basis. We also loved partnering with a fellow women-led company.

Are there any areas for improvement or something UMAI Marketing could have done differently?

UMAI team reused/recut video content on occasion when the internal team would have liked to see original content every time (although we were understanding of the need to do this based on our own budgets).

They don’t fluff the metrics and are very honest about how things are/aren’t working. They also are always learning themselves and testing out new tactics to better improve their client’s performances. They hire well and their team is full of organized marketing professionals who we really feel get our brand and feel like an extension of our team.

Continuing to be thought leaders and offer solutions to our team based on what they think vs. reacting to our goals all the time (which might not always be the right ones!)
