I’m the CFO of a window blinds manufacturer. We build custom blinds for homes and offices, offering consultation and installation services as well.

We engaged Ubicutus Apps to create a CRM system to centralize our client information—including contact details, orders, and quotes—into one platform.

What were your goals for this project?

We had been tracking our orders, quotes, and payments through multiple Microsoft Excel files. We wanted a custom system to help us improve specific processes, such as how we raise orders and record installations for clients.

How did you select this vendor?

Ubicutus Apps is a local company in Caracas, so we reached out to them. During our initial meeting, they suggested many solutions that we could include in the software we wanted.

The team designed and developed the software solution. They then migrated all of the information from our multiple files into the system. We met every two weeks to discuss progress and provide feedback. 

What was the team composition?

We worked with a project manager, a project lead, and two junior developers. The team remained stable from beginning to end.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We went from having hundreds of files in dozens of folders to a single centralized system. We can more easily search for clients, quotes, projects in productions, and historical records of those files now.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Ubicutus Apps remained accessible to us whenever we needed to meet and adjust requirements or features. They used Taiga to help us keep track of their progress.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their young team had a talented group of developers who were always eager to help and learn.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is always room for improvement, but we’re highly satisfied with Ubicutus Apps’ work. We hope to work with them on building additional features for the system soon.

I met Franco (CEO, Ubicutus Apps) before we started working together. I trusted him and knew he would be an honest partner.

They designed and implemented the architecture for the backend integration of the web application, along with the user interface and the application flow. Through a series of backend connections for the web app and the iOS app, the platforms communicate with each other and exchange data. Ubicutus Apps implemented our signal processing algorithm on the backend, as well as the visual plot output capability.

We worked with a project manager, one web developer, and one iOS developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This development enabled us to collect data and access it much easier. These advancements have helped us build our user base, improve our algorithms, and receive more interest from investors.

One aspect of the engagement that I particularly appreciated was their communication and transparency regarding the development’s progress. They used a scrum methodology to keep our project on track.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are very thorough in their discovery stage operations. The way they understand the project requirements is impressive. They ask the right questions until everything is clear, and they deliver exactly what we expect.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They did not employ a graphic designer during the time we worked together. I believe they have since hired one, though.
