A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a luxury cruise company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Twothirty Media?
We wanted more exposure to social media.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They handle our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter posts. The team also makes sure that our SEO and PPC campaigns are cleaner than what it used to be. Additionally, they put together MailChimp mailing once a month and hooked our site up to HubSpot.
What is the team composition?
We work directly with Randy and Allison, the co-founders of the company.
How did you come to work with Twothirty Media?
We tried a couple of firms in Pittsburgh and didn’t care for them. We found Twothirty Media through local references and decided to work together from there.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2019, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve helped increase our web traffic with their work. We definitely have enough incoming businesses to handle right now.
How did Twothirty Media perform from a project management standpoint?
They do well with project management and work very quickly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Randy is pretty knowledgeable about different programs and cutting-edge technologies.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to communicate what you need clearly.

Web Design & SEO for Drilling & Construction Company
"Randy had great communication skills and was talented at the drone work he performed."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-owner of Shelly Drilling.
What challenge were you trying to address with Twothirty Media?
We hired them to help update our website and improve our SEO efforts. A lot of our work isn’t local, so we needed to be able to show off our website online and be visible.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had an existing website, but I showed Randy (Co-Founder & Chief of Creative, Twothirty Media) a few examples of websites from my competitors and he created a new one for me. Their team made it mobile-friendly with contact tools within it for calls and emails.
Randy handled the SEO efforts and managed our Google Analytics account. We analyzed keywords and did a lot of research to pick the best options for our SEO needs. He also did drone work for the videography and photography elements.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Randy.
How did you come to work with Twothirty Media?
Randy had built our old website years ago and was a pleasure to work with back then. When it was time to update the site, I looked at a few of the new projects he was working on and I was sold on picking him again.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $10,000–$25,000 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from around April–August 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In my eyes, they produced the highest quality website I could have asked for. I’ve had numerous people contact me and comment on the look of the site. Now, when people are looking for a contractor, they can see our new, sharp web pages that will help sell our services. People remark on our site when they want to set up meetings with us, whereas people in the past would comment on how out-of-date our site was.
How did Twothirty Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Randy worked well with us in regards to our budget. I was very impressed with his ability to understand our needs. I’d tell him about our services, and he would do his own research to understand the details. I appreciated those extra steps he took to manage the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Randy had great communication skills and was talented at the drone work he performed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing they could have done better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
At first, I was dreading compiling all of our business information to explain it to someone who might not grasp it, but Randy was extremely open to our ideas. I had a pleasant experience working with him and I recommend his services.

Branding & Digital Marketing for Tourism Company
“Their level of independence is an incredible bonus of working with them.”

Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a visitors’ bureau for the city of Monroeville. Unlike most convention visitors’ bureaus, we only market the city, so we have a much smaller operation than most city visitors’ operations. I am the sales and marketing manager and only person on my team.
What challenge were you trying to address with Twothirty Media?
I have been handling all of our marketing with a graphic designer for the last 10 years, and we decided it was time to bring in a full-service agency. Our primary goal was to develop a new sports brand for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially hired them to create our sports brand, which they developed from scratch. They handled all of the PR for that launch as well, from creating a website to running a press release and providing photography for each of our venues.
Beyond that, they manage all of our digital content, are planning a social media operation for next year and developed a campaign to get us certified on Waze. We’ve actually had so much success there that the Waze team is considering using us as a case study for visitors’ bureaus.
What is the team composition?
I work directly with Randy (Co-Founder & Chief Creative), who handles the IT and photography, and Allison (Co-Founder & Client Relations Specialist), who does more of the social media and content writing.
How did you come to work with Twothirty Media?
Randy used to work for Visit Pittsburgh, where we met originally, and he called me to let me know that he had moved out here and started his own company. We decided to let him take a stab at our sports brand project, and it went so well that we plan to work with them far into the future.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent a little under $15,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started formally working with them in April 2019 and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Some of the photography they took at one of our events made the cover of a Pennsylvania sports magazine that the state was doing, which was really cool. We’ll definitely see a lot of exposure from that. The press release they held was picked up all over social media and traditional news as well.
How did Twothirty Media perform from a project management standpoint?
They handle pretty much everything, which I really appreciate. They are able to go out, do the job, and report back. All I have to do is approve tasks before and after they’re completed, which allows me to focus on my job. Their level of independence is an incredible bonus of working with them.
We meet a few times a month in person, usually at a Chamber of Commerce meeting or over lunch, to update on everything, but we will also email on a more regular basis. They also call me whenever they need to, so we’re pretty flexible in that regard.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s a very high level of work for a very reasonable price. They’re just incredibly willing to go above and beyond to provide us with more information to inform our decisions or to deliver the best quality work that they can.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, all of their work for us has been fantastic.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would just suggest that you let them do their thing. Part of why we’ve been so successful is because I don’t really give them strict guidelines or demands, and they can exercise their creative spirit in developing the final product.
Twothirty Media’s work has met expectations. The team has effectively helped boost traffic and draw in more business. Customers can expect a knowledgeable and capable vendor that gets the job done.
