BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder and co-chair of an ethical silk company primarily focused on creating silk products. Currently, we are focusing on accessories such as children’s bedding and clothing.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with TWO Design?

We wanted to go through brand identity and collateral creation, which was why we were looking for a design partner to help us put all of that together.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their primary role with us was in content creation, such as blogs and other materials. They provided the design and aesthetic choices for all of the written content as well and helped us implement a more cohesive image. That included all of our graphics, iconography, branding, logos, and fonts, which were implemented mostly on the web but also in print for our packaging and business merchandise.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a variety of design and project management personnel from their team.

How did you come to work with TWO Design?

We looked at quite a few companies in our evaluation, and their polished, sophisticated, yet subtle style stood out to us the most. They were able to strike a balance between being minimalistic and elegant, but still distinctively Indian that we really liked.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $5,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted approximately from March–September 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a definite increase in traffic and click-throughs on our website as a result of the work that they did. A lot of our customer feedback on the branding has been very positive, and we couldn’t be more pleased.

One aspect that I think particularly speaks to the quality of the engagement is that we are looking to pursue more work with their team. One of their copywriters has helped us with a lot of the specific designs for their content, and we are definitely going to continue to work with him to accomplish that with other content projects.

How did TWO Design perform from a project management standpoint?

I think they did a very good job with project management. They used a variety of Google Suite tools, as well as Trello, to keep in consistent contact with us throughout the engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As a team, they really understood where we were coming from. Their aesthetic sense and professional approach really helped us bring our ideas and materials to life.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement, but I don’t think I could pinpoint anything specific that they need to change.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice for any client engagement would be to stay as actively engaged and communicative with their team as possible.
