Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CFO of AquaZen, a relaxation product retailer.
What challenge were you trying to address with Turtle Factory Inc.?
We were looking for more exposure and ways to get closer to our customers. We felt developing an app around our product and service would be the best way to get business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Turtle Factory Inc. developed our iOS app from scratch. They advised us on some features, giving us ideas about things like timers, ASMR sounds, product galleries, and other specific features.
The app itself features an online shop where we can take users’ orders and payments. Along the way, the team suggested pages and designs for our different features. They performed a fair deal of market research, which informed their proposals. They did market and business analyses to understand how the app would be best designed for us according to what we do and how we want to do it.

How did you come to work with Turtle Factory Inc.?
We initially wanted to hire a freelance developer but we had some bad experiences before. Turtle Factory Inc. came out, and we decided to study their offer to agree on a design. In their offer, they mentioned that they give consultancy services and try to understand the business.
Everything was included in their offer. There were no hidden costs. Their quote was lower than we expected, and the team was really friendly and professional. They made sure we understood the service and made us really comfortable. We decided to partner with them.

We spent $3,500 on the project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May-June 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Throughout the project, Turtle Factory Inc. was always concerned with making sure everything was delivered the way we wanted. The interface they created was excellent. When we started the contract, they said they’d deliver in one month and they ended up delivering it 10 days ahead of schedule.
How did Turtle Factory Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
We used email to keep in touch throughout the project. We received regular updates from our developer, and the team was available over chat box whenever we had questions. If there were more specific questions that we needed to go over in detail, I could always book an interview. Additionally, when everything was ready, I received a video, templates, and mockups for the app via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The service and quality Turtle Factory Inc. offered was really good. The team was very responsive. We never had to chase people down; we were always updated and never wondered how the project was going.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would have been good if they developed the app for Android as well as iOS, but for the price, I have no complaints.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend messaging them for a quote. The team is responsive.

Our company hired Turtle Factory Inc for developing our very first app on the iOS platform. They built an app for us taking care to integrate all our requirements including a BMI calculator for app. We were more than happy as they delivered to us before the promised date.
What were your goals for this project?
We had the primary goal of increasing customer engagement and making sure that our customers stay informed at every step of the order processing.
How did you select this vendor?
My team found them online and scheduled an interview with them during which they said us what we can have in our app. We selected them after the interview as we felt the were providing relevant information and at the same time offered the assurance of a contract which no other service provided.
