I'm the COO of a crypto company in Latin America that offers several services, including prepaid crypto cards, a network of ATMs, and a crypto exchanger.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tudip Technologies?

Initially, we needed help developing the banking system of our prepaid crypto card company in Chile.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the first project we worked on with Tudip, they developed an entire banking system for our prepaid crypto card company that allowed for the management of balances and transaction in connection with a bank.

In the second project, they developed a website for blockchain technology, including a system that allowed for internal transactions, blockchain verification, and other banking services. They've created the initial coin offering (ICO), the website, and the transactional system thus far.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with Dipti (Co-founder and CEO, Tudip Technologies), an account manager, and other developers as needed.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $10,000 on the first project and $20,000 on the second, which is about half of the price of many of their competitors.

We've been working with them since 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tudip successfully created secure financial systems, without leaking any sensitive information. Not only does their team deliver high-quality work, but they're also very adaptable throughout the process. We had to make a lot of changes half-way through a project, but they were still able to create an entirely new solution to accommodate our needs. Considering the size of our projects, that quality in a partner is extremely important to us.

How did Tudip Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Our account manager is fantastic; he picks up the phone whenever we have an emergency no matter what time of day it is. We're usually in constant communication with them through Skype or Slack. They're also very transparent and honest about their work, which is crucial when working with financial systems like ours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their availability and 24/7 support are very valuable to us. Even though they're located far away and there's a big time difference between us, they do a good job of being responsive and accessible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'm not sure how big their team is, but I assume it would help them to hire more developers so they can continue to devote a lot of time to each customer as they do for us.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It helps to have a detailed, full description or requirements of the project and be as prepared as possible from the start. We don't always work with them in the most ideal way, which isn't their fault, but it would help to ensure nothing gets lost half-way through a project if you go into it with a more detailed plan laid out than we do.

I am VP of operations for a home cooking and food platform. We focus on connecting users to appliances, retailers, and manufacturers to guide them through the states of planning, shopping, prepping, and preparing meals.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tudip Technologies?

Our wide variety of services requires us to work with different appliance manufacturers and developers. Additionally, our products, including iOS and Android apps, and hardware that can be connected to our platform (like ovens) require frequent support. With such a selection, we needed a consistent and detail-oriented team to run QA.

We also found that it’s often more efficient for the developer who finds a bug to also fix it, rather than find the bug and pass along the information. This inefficiency wasn’t one of our initial challenges, but Tudip helped us streamline the process.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The majority of our engagement with Tudip involves QA, but they also assist with testing and updating features of our mobile, web, hardware, and backend. We use Java for backend and Android, and Swift for iOS. We have many integrations for each platform, but the core languages are always Java. Tudip contributes by fixing bugs on all of the platforms.

That being said, Tudip has developed some projects entirely (our automation suite was developed by them) to supplement the work of our local development team.

What is the team composition?

We have a large team averaging 10 people working with us from Tudip. Our assigned project manager provides us work summaries and daily reports, two team members work on the iOS app, and one on Android. The remaining group focuses on either automation QA or data entry QA.

How did you come to work with Tudip Technologies?

At a previous company I worked for, Tudip was already the vendor of choice, so I knew how easy they were to work with. I knew how accommodating the team was—available to work extra time, extra hours, or weekends—so it made sense to bring them on board for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

They joined us in November 2016 and continue to provide QA support and development.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In addition to their quality work, we value Tudip’s ability to maintain the enthusiasm and attention to detail that they possessed at the start of our partnership. Furthermore, there have been no major recalls or bugs that required point release to fix because we found it too late. The influx of bugs is continuous, but we can rely on Tudip to find and fix each one. I've been working in this industry for over a decade, and have also worked with many outsourcing companies, and I haven't been able to find a group that offered a better price, quality, commitment, and service.

How did Tudip Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Not only are they communicative, but they make sure their reports can be understood by all members of my team, not just me or others working directly on the project. They realize not everyone is going to understand all tech-specific language, and they accommodate that need.

Our project manager is also receptive to feedback and willing to make immediate changes, when necessary.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve noticed that often, people on QA and data entry teams will start to lose their initial attention to detail, resulting in undetected bugs or product performance issues. We started working with Tudip on the majority of our outsourcing because their work has never given us reason to think they weren't dedicated to our projects. They continue to find bugs and make improvements we never considered.

If we have an urgent task or project, regardless of when we ask or when we need it completed, the Tudip team has always been able to complete it. In one instance, we happened to release a few days after Diwali, having not taken into account the Indian holidays. Nevertheless, we found a way to rotate enough people on the Tudip team so that they could celebrate the holiday, and we were still able to ship on time. They're accommodating, communicative, and their availability is greater than other developers I’ve worked with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. There is always room for improvement, no matter the person or field, but our partnership with Tudip is exactly what we want it to be. They exceed our expectations and work hard to find solutions.

Since I've worked in this field so long, I have a lot of experience giving feedback and know how to give helpful and clear directions. By now, the partnership is exactly what I want it to be.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very upfront and explain to your account manager what you need. If I need something and don't voice it, no one at Tudip knows, so it's a good idea to establish expectations and preferred methods of communication early in the process.

I am the co-founder and CEO of GiveWay, a mobile app that allows users to make spare change donations. We hope to make generosity a part of everyday life while supporting nonprofit organizations with micro-funding.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tudip Technologies?

Our company had just launched and we’d recently received funding, so our challenge was to build the whole app and launch it. We were initially working with a US-based company but ended up not being a good fit for us. It was a setback, both financially and in terms of our timeline for launch, but we still needed a mobile development company that could deliver the functionality we were looking for.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tudip built all the features we wanted and provided the functionality. The app allows users to sign up with their debit card, credit card, or bank account, and they make small change donations with every purchase. The app does everything, from creating user accounts, to connecting to an API, to finally charging the user. It gives users the ability to donate to organizations and sub-organizations, make one-time donations, and make disaster-response donations.

We’d made most of our designs before with another company, so by the time we started working with Tudip a lot of the design work was done. However, as they built the app and added features, they continued to incorporate the design.

Since we’re a small startup, there’s a lot we can’t do ourselves, so we continued our contract with Tudip to help run the app after its launch. They provide technical support, maintain the servers, and can troubleshoot issues as they arise. They presented us with a reasonable price to continue contracting with them, and they’ve been great I.T. support.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a dedicated team of five people. Each team member was designated a specific aspect of the app to manage (i.e. one team member focused on Android development, one focused on iOS, and so on). Our project manager, also Tudip’s CEO, took a special interest in our project and helped us navigate through the early stages of development. For such a large company, she was very hands-on and responsive.

How did you come to work with Tudip Technologies?

I found them doing research online, but was initially hesitant to hire them because they’re not based in the United States. We first partnered with a US-based group I connected with at a tech incubator, but we soon learned they weren’t able to provide the work we were looking for. As a result, we needed a new developer right away, so I followed up with Tudip and they agreed to work with us. Had we chosen them the first time, we would have saved ourselves time and money.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent approximately $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We brought Tudip on in March 2017, the app full launched in August 2017, and they continue to provide technical support services for us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We gave Tudip a thorough list of expectations for the app’s functionality, and they provided each one, while still allowing us to launch without problems. If there were bugs we didn't anticipate or problems that arose as we added more users, Tudip fixed them quickly.

How did Tudip Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team was always accessible and made it easy to track the app’s progress. They have a tool that they've developed in-house that manages a project’s progress. The team updates it daily, so I could go online at any point and see exactly what we were working on. The program’s layout is simple and easy to navigate, which is helpful for non-programmers like me. We also used the program for our weekly meetings, in which the Tudip team would show us everything they’d finished so far. In addition to the daily updates through the program and our weekly meetings, they also responded to email within the same day.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their work ethic made the entire process easier. As a young startup, our group includes a lot of motivated people working long hours, and we appreciated that our development team was just as driven. I was also surprised that they could be so responsive, given they’re 10 and a half hours ahead of us, and found out they work US hours since most of their clients are in the US. We weren’t expecting that level of dedication, but it was impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The clear and consistent vision we had for the app helped us better articulate what we needed from Tudip. The more information and detail you can give the development team, the better your product will be. If we didn’t know precisely what we wanted in a certain area, they walked us through different options, allowing us to decide based on our intention for the app. I would suggest all potential clients approach Tudip with a clear vision, but still be willing to trust the team's suggestions.
