An affiliate network firm hired TRUI Software House to update the mobile application they'd developed a few years prior. They were meant to add new app features to mirror the web platform's functionalities.
TRUI Software House failed to deliver the app update, despite their numerous promises to do so — they failed the client by not meeting their February 2022 deadline. TRUI Software House had awful communication, often failing to respond to the client's Slack messages and feedback for days at a time. This review is an update by the client company. BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the director of marketing at MyLead, an online network that connects advertisers to publishers to promote their products and services.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with TRUI Software House?
We hired TRUI Software House to update the mobile app they developed for us as part of another project.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
TRUI Software House came on board to update our mobile app with new features and functionalities. The original app was for Android and iOS, and served as a sister product to our web-based platform. We wanted to integrate the features that existed on our web platform, including surveys and call scheduling, into the app for this project. My team highlighted exactly which features TRUI Software House had to code. In an effort to support TRUI Software House's work, we also developed the architecture for the app update.

I don't remember how I first began working with TRUI Software House.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?
TRUI Software House ultimately failed to deliver the app update despite initial positive results from the original mobile application development project. They promised to deliver and completely let us down.
How did TRUI Software House address the challenges that arose?
We provided feedback on their deliverables throughout the project, which sometimes wasn't acknowledged for a long time. TRUI Software House failed to deliver a final product despite all of our efforts to support their processes.
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
We were hoping to have an updated working app by February 2022, but because of TRUI Software House's failure to deliver, we haven't met that goal.
How was project management handled?
We used Slack to communicate.
In what specific areas can they improve?
TRUI Software House needs to take their work seriously and focus on their clients. Their team takes days to respond to our Slack messages — their communication skills really need to improve.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
I'd advise future customers not to work with TRUI Software House. Additionally, for customers that are already working with them, I'd advise them to be more aggressive in their pushes for final deliverables.

Please describe your company and your position there.
MyLead is an Internet platform that associates the largest companies in Poland and the world, with a database of over 100 thousand people ready to promote their products and services. MyLead is one of the fastest-growing affiliate networks in the world - we won the elite "Rising Star" award in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe 2019 competition.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire TRUI Software House?
We needed a mobile application for our publishers that would give them access to the most important features of MyLead.global directly from their phones. We wanted to reach them even if they are not logged into their user panel. We also wanted the application to be written for two different operating systems.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to: 1. increase publisher loyalty - through the mobile application, MyLead is with them all the time, 2. increase earning motivation - publishers receive a notification about every single dollar they earn, 3. increase the sense of community - the application provides access to public online chat, 4. increase promotional possibilities - now we are able to organize competitions and promotional actions especially for users with mobile application; on MyLead we have special awards for such users, 5. get wider marketing possibilities - we can send our users a notification of any content that does not cost anything, stand out from the competition.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We heard good opinions about TRUI, so we decided to contact them. TRUI is from the same city as MyLead - from Poznan, so the easier it was to meet them. After a few conversations, discussing our visions and their ideas, we decided to start cooperation.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
TRUI provided us with the product we expected. According to the documentation, the mobile application consisted of: - Login panel associated with MyLead data - Dashboard - a place with all the statistics of a given user together with filters and the type of statistics to be displayed - Chat - the possibility to contact other users - FAQ - quick access to the most important answers and question; the ability to change them directly from MyLead affects their display in the mobile application - Guidebooks - convenient access to the company blog - Contact - the possibility of fast contact with team members; the ability to change them directly from MyLead affects the data in mobile application - Promotional codes - the possibility of using a code that increases the earned commission rate - Notifications - users can get notification about each conversion gained
What was the team composition?
TRUI team consisted of two programmers and a project manager. MyLead team consisted of the CEO, head of IT, and head of the affiliate marketing department. There were also two graphic designers working on the mobile application project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The affiliate marketing industry is very competitive. According to the Rakuten research, 94% of affiliate network users earn money in more than one service. Any stand out from the competition is therefore very important. Mobile applications in affiliate marketing are very rare, and even rarer are those with such extensive capabilities. For this reason, we decided to carry out this project. As for today, our mobile application has been downloaded over 1000 times. It allowed us to build loyalty among users and made them more willing to stay on MyLead. Moreover, it added new marketing opportunities - we can send notifications to users' mobile devices. The possibilities were so much appreciated by the users that we asked TRUI for an update. Currently, we are upgrading the application with additional new features.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
In terms of project management, TRUI is very flexible. They joined our company channel on Slack, so we can regularly exchange messages. They practically work with us all of the time, and our contact with them is excellent. They clearly ask us for anything they need and answer all our questions.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We have worked with various software houses, and the cooperation with TRUI proved to be a successful one. We have no contact problems, there is always a possibility of meeting, they regularly work on projects, and do not carry out many projects at the same time. Moreover, they created the solution exactly as planned in the documentation.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We had a few situations where it was necessary to change the deadline, but in the end, we got an excellent quality product.
