BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner, media planner, and buyer for a media group. Our primary focus with Trigger is in the education space.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Trigger Digital?

Our main objective is to drive admissions inquiries to the universities and private schools we do business with. We wanted a vendor to help access ad exchanges, private marketplaces, and programmatic buying platforms for digital marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with them on multiple projects for our clients. They operate as a conduit for online impression delivery. I outline my campaign objectives, target audiences, and any useful information and they implement each campaign.

We’ve started some guest blogging with them. We have overlapping knowledge as media people, so we exchange a lot of writing. We contribute to each other’s articles, which is something we really enjoy.

What is the team composition?

Marco (Digital Solutions Provider, Trigger Digital) is my acting account manager. The team also includes other implementers and the company cofounder.

How did you come to work with Trigger Digital?

We were looking for new options in the area and found them through social media. We called them and asked about their process. We started on a project together and the engagement grew from there.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August or September 2017 and the relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our paid search campaigns are cost efficient and driving more conversions than we’ve seen with other vendors. Our paid social campaigns have also show a significant improvement over our other PPC and AdWords initiatives.

How did Trigger Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. I’m a stickler for details, but I’m really happy with them. We do most of the project management on our side, but they’re very detail-oriented and get everything done within the timeline.

We primarily communicate via email and phone. We also have a media buying system and a really good dashboard. We white labeled their internal process for our own use. We store all our campaign metrics there and can go in and pull reports for our clients. We cycle through project management software, including Basecamp, Asana, and Trello, depending on the client.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They shine above other companies, especially in terms of customer service, responsiveness, and attention to detail. They’re really knowledgeable and we have a great reciprocal relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing bad about our experience. They’re refreshingly candid and are more transparent than other vendors. I can only say good things about them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Put in the effort upfront and provide as much strategic input as possible. Share information, be communicative, and give your vendor the tools they need to deliver the best result.
