This was my first business venture, I decided to review companies that I found via google searches. Triface International came up in many of my search terms. The customer reviews were positive and i found the staff to be friendly, informative and quick to respond.

Triface took the time to understand my initial requirements very early on in the process, prior to any commitment being made. Triface supplied me with some examples of the work they had completed previously, which had the same style.

After these discussions, I found Triface to be very communicative, explaining what was happening and what processes were being undertaken - examples and updates were provided to me every step of the way

The feedback was fantastic, Triface had a real understanding of what I needed to achieve - They were open to suggestions and any adjustments were no problems at all. My correspondence has been with Chittranjan, who I have found to be very helpful and understanding.

The work on my videos was undertaken by their GM: Mohit who really has done a fantastic job - the quality of my videos is far higher than my initial expectations. The outcomes is high-end, slick and elegant - the colours are vibrant and background minimalist, which just adds to the quality of my videos

We started by giving Triface International the storyboard and the basic concept of the company. After that, they put that story into a film and created visuals based on the campaign that we had devised. They created 3D models of the mascots and characters we used and then made the entire story based on the storyboards and the movement.  Currently, they're doing work ad hoc to the requirements.

We’re working on the second phase of the project, where we’re taking the animation that they created to the consumers and target audience. We can tell that Triface International has been doing a commendable job; our team and the client are delighted with it.

We documented our ideas and engaged in a discovery session. Triface than came back with characters, scenes backgrounds and dialogs. We reviewed it and made minor changes and Triface then produced the first draft of the video.

We reviewed the video and provided our feedback around the pace, music, volume etc. and Triface quickly turn it around and sent updated video which we approved and used. We worked with Chittranjan for the entire process.

I am the owner of a start-up software company. We do gamification and create animated-related mobile gaming. I also do some consulting on the side.

What challenge were you trying to address with Triface International?

Triface created my animation and web app. With the current political challenges, political environment, and social media, people have a lot of angst toward politicians. On social media, they can talk about the issues that they like and don’t like, but in India there are certain restrictions put in place about what you can and cannot say, what is considered disrespectful and acceptable. We were trying to create a fun, socially driven medium for people to express their happiness or anger with politicians. Our issue was discovering how we could do that without offending anybody.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Triface International developed a web application; it looks like an app on a smartphone, but it’s really a small website. In essence, they took all of my content and created the UX/UI and animation that will go into the mobile game.

We aren’t a big company so we don’t do massive SOW projects, but we created a contract. I created my vision on a PowerPoint, clearly highlighting the different things that I needed to capture and the data analytics that needed to be performed. Triface took that as input and built a project plan around it. Right now, we’re at a stage where everything is on their website or on internal platforms to be tested. 

Triface also created the animation itself that will be used in the game. They proposed a UI and UX flow and then they showed me an inexpensive option so that I wouldn’t have to implement a new CRM to capture the data. Instead, I can use existing tools like Firebase and other Google Analytics.

I am doing QA and testing on it right now. After that, I’ll pilot it with a small group. Triface will be uploading the app for me onto my website and web servers over the next couple of days. I intend to use them for any updates and prepare it for a full launch.

What is the team composition?

My primary contact has been the owner, and I also work with the IT person if I have QA questions. For the UX and UI, I don’t work with anybody, as I have a person on my team who directly interfaces with their UX and UI resource. There are three people from their side.

How did you come to work with Triface International?

They were a recommendation from my cousin, who had worked with them previously. He told me that Triface would get the work done. I’ve also worked with Triface on a couple of other projects in partnership with my cousin.

I have worked a lot with overseas developers, and my timeline hasn’t been met a lot of times. Triface follows our timelines quite strictly, so that’s good. I’ve also liked the quality of the animation in the past, so I didn’t really vet anyone else. Their pricing also stood out. 

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent a little less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in November 2020, and the work was completed in June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The animation had to be visually pleasing. My standard is that the UX/UI has to be easily understood by people who aren’t technology savvy. We tested the web app with about 10 people to ensure that the app worked and that the flow made sense. That was one measure of success. 

The second measure of success was that my quality person checked the backend and ensured that everything was done correctly. Finally, we had a contract and a plan for everything, and Triface did everything they were supposed to in the timeline that they were supposed to.

How did Triface International perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication was 100% spot on. Some of the timelines had to be shifted because COVID-19 hit India really hard — and our team was off for a few weeks — so I don’t put any blame on Triface. There were extenuating circumstances, and my team’s delays were because of our priorities. Overall, I would say that the communication was excellent, and we always knew where we were at. It went beyond my expectations.

I personally had a weekly touchpoint, and someone from my team was in touch with them almost every day. We used Microsoft Teams from my side because it was convenient for me, but we were also in a WhatsApp group.

What did you find most impressive about them?

For me, the main accomplishment was the fact that Triface delivered what they were supposed to in a timely manner. I know that doesn’t sound like glowing feedback, but the truth is that a lot of vendors don’t do that. I knew what I wanted, and Triface did it really well. I was also very impressed with the quality of the animations themselves. 

Another positive about them is that, even since the project was completed, I’ve been able to go to them with feedback or requests to move things around a bit and they usually won’t charge me. That’s another expense I don’t have to worry about, which is key as a start-up. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s not fair for me to say, but there are cheaper options in India, so it would be good if they could do it for cheaper. If they were cheaper, though, then I would risk timelines and quality. From that perspective, they could be cheaper, but I wouldn’t want them to compromise timeliness or quality.

They do make a lot of things easier in the sense that they have good project management and communication. They are very good when it comes to feedback as well. From a client perspective, you need to make sure to give them clear directions and align with them on what you are going to get and when.

I found Chittranjan on an online portal over ten years ago, and we connected. When we first engaged, we worked on an extensive project for an e-commerce store that had been going on for six months. I wanted some illustrations and technical drawings, and he did them.

On that first project, I noticed how professional he was. He delivered the assets on time, and his pricing was great — everything aligned together. After that project, I learned more about his other services, and we’ve been working together since then.

Chittranjan and I started working together around June 2012. However, I believe that the company he owned had a different name at the time.

Triface International offers good and professional quality. I keep bringing business to them because of their UI/UX design skills. They deliver everything on time, and they’re very good at communicating as well.

Chittranjan always tries to keep track of everything, and we communicate mostly through email. However, I don’t know if he uses any tools internally for project management.

Triface International’s turnaround times and quality have been impressive.

Sometimes, one of their team members makes typing errors, so I have to proofread everything, but that’s all.

We had gotten a bit of work done earlier on a smaller scale for an event and we found them very dependable and easy to work with. Not only did they understand our creative requirements, they relentlessly worked on the changes despite them being extensive bringing us newer drafts.The best part was the team's reliability in a tight timeline where they worked on weekends to deliver

1. Website- We initially outsourced the website work to another company who botched up the entire project and left us hanging midway. With a very important milestone approaching, it was critical that we correct and finish the website in a very limited time span. Since we had worked with Triface on a small project before, we asked them as we needed somebody trustworthy.

Chittranjan the CEO immediately came on board to save the sinking ship. He assured that he would re-do the entire website from scratch which was quite a relief. It was a pleasure working with Triface on this project as they ensured that the website turned out to be exactly as we envisioned. Every minor change that we suggested was done promptly and by putting in the extra hours which was not really required from their end they ensured we had the website live before our event.

2. CPHI Worldwide 2019 CPHI is an annual pharma convention and is one of the most prestigious and important event for us where we exhibit for 3 days and our booth is a representative of our image. It was our first big booth and we needed graphics that were attractive and conveyed the message the right way.

Triface worked with me jointly to ensure that they delivered exactly what we wanted and the results were fantastic. In fact when we had an issue with one of the CDR files during the event, we had to call Chittranjan (the CEO) at a very late hour given the time difference and urgency. He most willingly helped us out by resending the file during the crucial time and saved the day. Such instances only reinstill our faith in choosing Triface.

I did not have the hassle of communicating with multiple team members so it was an extremely smooth affair for me. My one point of contact was Chittranjan who ensured everything I communicated was executed.

We now have a much better looking website which is not only aesthetically appealing but also informative and updated. Our graphics at CPHI are the key in attracting new customers who do not have scheduled meetings with us and are passing by the booth.
