Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the COO of KidsEmbrace. We’re a car seat and baby gear manufacturer. We manufacture and distribute licensed products like car seats, baby strollers, high chairs, and other similar products.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Treasure Rock Productions?

We have a very visible product, but we’re one of the only few in our industry like that. This is a blessing and a curse because we don’t always have the opportunity to sell our product from store shelves. We hired Treasure Rock Productions to create a video that allowed a customer to better see and understand our products online.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started our engagement by using their services for a few TV segments for a couple of our products. After seeing the great response, we continued to use them for every one of our products. Over the course of the 6–8 months, we sent them our products for them shoot videos of, which we used on Amazon, Walmart, and our own site. They handled the entire production, including scripts, filming, and editing processes. 

What is the team composition?

A few teammates from their side supported us through the different stages, but Bill (Owner, Treasure Rock Productions) was always our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Treasure Rock Productions?

We met a member of Bill’s family a few years ago and he thought we’d be a good match for our project, so he introduced us. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $10,000–$25,000 on their services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May–July 2017. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of work surpassed anything we’ve had before—it was top-notch and affordable. Bill made sure everything was displayed correctly and our story was told the right way. All of the videos they produced fully translated our brand and helped us sell our products. In our industry, it’s not only important that our products look cool, but also that they are safe and functional, so the videos really helped convey that. 

How did Treasure Rock Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were extremely attentive along the way. Any question, call, or text we sent them was always answered quickly. Their project management skills were a plus throughout the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their family-oriented approach was similar to our own, so we really appreciated that. Aside from being great at what they do, they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They really did their research, tried to understand our goals, and had a willingness to revise their work throughout the process. Their ability to take constructive criticism and go back to the drawing board was unlike any other experience we’ve had.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really can’t think of anything they could improve. We had a very easy relationship, which is why we’ve recommended them to so many people. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be super candid about what you need and want. Don’t be hesitant to share your end goal with them. If you give them the whole scope of what you want, they’ll come up with really creative suggestions. Give them the direction and they’ll follow through on it.
